Goodyear is located in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, about 20 miles west of Phoenix. Yet, contrary to popular belief, the town was not developed as a result of urban sprawl associated with the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Goodyear has a long and illustrious history. Frank A. Seiberling created the city in 1898 when his carriage broke down on his trip to Phoenix and he wound up at the Goodyear tire factory situated where Falcon Field airport currently sits.

Expect to be awed by breathtaking scenery and a plethora of leisure opportunities. If you like hiking or biking, this is the place to be. Moreover, after a long day of hiking trails, you may select from more than 100 eateries serving Asian, Mexican, Italian, and other cuisines.

Estrella Mountain Regional Park is a must-see.

Goodyear, Arizona +1602506293014805 W Vineyard Ave

Estrella Mountain Regional Park, situated between Goodyear and Phoenix, has 20,000 acres of desert, mountain, and wetland habitats and settings. Maricopa County Parks Inc. established it in 1954 as the first park near the junction of the Agua Fria and Gila rivers.

I had to visit Estrella Mountain Regional Park since it was so close to the city. And I believe it is properly regarded as one of the top things to do in Goodyear. There was so much to do and see at this park that three hours flew by in the blink of an eye.

The park is huge, and its proximity to the city makes it quite easy for anybody to visit. If you’re seeking for activities to do in Goodyear, Arizona that will recharge your inner batteries, consider spending at least a day here.

Brass Armadillo Antique Mall is a great place to look for antiques.

Goodyear, +1623889029013277 W McDowell Rd

This Antique Mall, which opened in March 2012, is situated in Goodyear. Every day save Christmas, it now provides approximately 50,000 square feet of treasures and antiques. Every business is packed with diverse merchants displaying their products and services all day.

This location can give all of this and more, whether you’re seeking for a one-of-a-kind present or old goods to repair. This mall’s layout design and interior decorations, which I had never seen before, wowed me. It’s clear that fixing these artifacts and displaying them is a labor of love!

Go to the Bible Museum.

N Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, +162353686142000

Anybody interested in history, culture, religion, or anthropology will enjoy a visit to the Bible Museum. There is no affiliation with any church or religious group anywhere in the globe. Instead, the exhibitions present information about religious disputes and the beliefs of each group.

In addition to its extensive collection of ancient Bibles, the Museum has hundreds of objects relating to The Holy Bible from throughout the globe and throughout history.

The Goodyear Bible Museum houses world-renowned relics from the Great Site collection, such as Dead Sea Scrolls fragments, genuine 1611 King James Version Bibles, and Gutenberg Bible sheets.

I think it’s fantastic that this museum is open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, so you don’t have to worry about when you go. You will also be able to read and handle some of the world’s oldest religious writings.

At Corral West Horse Activities, you may ride a horse.

Mark this location if you’re seeking for daring things to do in Goodyear, AZ. Corral West Horse Adventures provides a wide range of family-friendly outdoor tours throughout the Sonoran Desert and Estrella Mountain Regional Park, including guided horseback riding excursions that showcase the region’s landscape and detail the horse-drawn travels of 19th-century Western pioneers.

Corral West Horse Adventures was recommended by a friend who had gone on one of their rides. As you climb on the saddle of those lovely horses and let the guide lead you to the desert environment, it is an incredible experience that provides such freedom. To further up the experience, they provide traditional boots and headgear.

Play Golf at Estrella Golf Club

11800 S Golf Club Dr, Goodyear, AZ

The Estrella course is located on a 600-acre plot of property that was formerly considered an isolated portion of the desert. There are presently over 6,000 full-time inhabitants. Hundreds of additional dwellings have been built throughout the city. Estrella is more than simply a golf course; it also has an Estrella Golf School, two championship-level tennis courts, and recreational paths and parks.

Golfweek magazine put the course, constructed by the son of famed professional golfer Jack Nicklaus II, among the top 20 finest public courses in the state.

Most golf courses in today’s world are built to appeal to players, but I found the Golf Club of Estrella to take a more targeted approach. The course, in addition to being carefully maintained, has several demanding holes, including 10 holes that must be played twice to complete an 18-hole round.

Purchase from Southwest Specialty Foods

1700 N Bullard Ave, Goodyear, AZ +1623931313

Jeff Jacobs created the Southwest Specialty Foods Company in 1986, and it is now one of the biggest specialty food businesses in the Southwest, with its well-known Hot Sauce and Senor Jakes barbecue sauces.

Its Goodyear plant produces over 200 different items, including salsas, spices, jerky snacks, and culinary sauces.

During my vacation, I visited the corporate shop for the Southwest Specialty Foods facility. On a Saturday afternoon, it’s one of the most entertaining locations to shop, with big samples of every variety of spicy sauce conceivable.

There was also live music and unique items from throughout Arizona (hello, cactus candle).

Saddle Mountain Brewing Company serves craft beer.

Goodyear, Arizona +1623249552015651 W Roosevelt St

Saddle Mountain Brewing Company distinguishes itself as one of the valley’s most distinctive brewers. Saddle Mountain, located in Goodyear’s industrial zone, is flanked by various welding and ceramic industries, reinforcing the aviation passion that flows through Saddle Mountain like an OpenAire Imperial Black IPA.

The brewery runs restaurants, and their cuisine is genuinely excellent, at least that’s what I decided when perusing the menu. Unable to taste everything my sights set on, I opted to match their Summer Ale with a delicious Fire burger. That was a success.

Following a brief conversation with the courteous employees, they told us about the brewery and its founders, Laura and Jacob. Jacob, in fact, spent 15 years homebrewing before deciding to create a small brewery with the help of his wife Laura. Saddle Mountain Brewing Company is Goodyear, Arizona’s first commercial brewery, bottling as Taildragger Craft Beer.
