Despite its reputation as a prominent winter ski resort town, Park City is an excellent year-round destination for outdoor lovers. The 1868 silver strike may have placed Park City on the map, but now it’s all about skiing and other outdoor activities.

The lovely, readily accessible Wasatch Mountains town is an incredibly great location to visit. Together with its historic museums, downtown Park City has several Old West saloons, breweries, and distilleries, as well as quaint shops, hidden treasures, and wonderful local eateries.

There are also several excellent restaurants within a short drive from the town. If for no other reason than their breathtaking vistas. Like many ski communities, there are a plethora of American culinary restaurants, but there are also many different food options.

It’s impossible to visit Park City and not eat steak. And you must make an appointment to eat at Butchers Chop House & Bar. It’s that well-known and popular.

There’s a reason this is one of the locals’ favorite chop places, and it’s open everyday for supper. The meat is of high quality, well cooked, and surprisingly affordable when compared to other Park City steakhouses.

Its trademark restaurant of the Caledonian Hotel, directly near to the downtown ski lift, offers indoor and terrace eating. Starters, soups, salads, butcher block classics, and other major non-beef entrees are among the options.

I went with the Prime Rib, which has limited availability, so ask your waiter when you’re seated whether it’s still available. My husband really enjoyed his Filet Mignon, and both dishes were made to order. The service is excellent. If you’re thinking it, servers are already planning for it.

Butchers is one of the top restaurants in Park City and a must-visit if you like steak.

Tapas and Wine at 710 Bodega

Tapas are well-known for a reason. While appetizers are shared and discussed by friends around the table, they stimulate sociability. This contemporary style Spanish tapas bar with a spin on the classics is a great enjoyable alternative when you’re looking for something a little different from the traditional sit-down-and-order per person. And, of course, there’s a nice range of Spanish wines to go with your shareables.

After spending a summer in Spain and thinking the neighborhood deserved a restaurant of this sort, owners Paola Bello and Nicholas Smurthwaite launched this colorful offshoot.

The Patatas Bravas, gently fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and garlic aioli, were our favorites. The Grilled Octopus Salad with mixed greens and a chimichurri vinaigrette was delicious. But the grilled Australian Lamb Lollipops were our clear favorite. If you have space for dessert, the Apple Empanada with caramelized apple, puff pastry, and vanilla bean ice cream is a must.

If you like tapas and sharing them with others, 710 Bodega is the place to go. It is one of Park City’s greatest restaurants.

Our rustic and ancient Italian family home, located at the very top of Main Street, offers an absolutely spectacular dining experience you will never forget. Grappa’s multi-leveled eating spaces and beautiful outside garden with multicolored twinkling lights make it a great spot for a romantic evening for two or a gathering with family or friends.

Despite the heat lights, it’s too cold to eat outside. The internal environment is exquisite, with Italian terrazzo floor, rough stitched oak beams, and Mediterranean elements.

Grappa’s supper menu isn’t huge, but it is well-designed and includes some delectable treats. A skilled server may provide advice on both food and wine. The menu is costly, but the dishes are sophisticated and delicious.

Spaghetti Arrabiata, cooked with spicy meatballs, roasted onions and peppers, and fresh herbs, and topped with a spicy Pecorino tomato sauce, was delicious. Gnocchi Primavera with basil and pine nut pesto, wild mushroom, herbed ricotta, roasted tomatoes, wilted pea tendrils, and caramelized cippolini onion was a hit with my husband.

We had no space for dessert, but our waiter suggested that we try the Lemon Mascarpone Cheesecake on our next visit.

And they’ll be back because this romantic Italian eatery gets an A+ all the way around. It unquestionably ranks first on the list of the greatest restaurants in Park City.

Sushi Yuki Yama

When there are a lot of locals at a restaurant, you know it’s delicious. And now that we’ve been here, we understand why they come. This traditional sushi restaurant serves supper on weekdays and lunch and dinner on weekends.

The lovely restaurant serves both classic and avant-garde Japanese-inspired small meals that are ideal for sharing. Yuki Yama focuses on a wide range of fresh and unusual seafood, including sustainably produced bluefin tuna and Santa Barbara uni.

A favorite appetizer, particularly on a cold evening, is house-made ramen noodle soup. Crispy Tuna Tartare, a spicy tuna tartare with crispy rice, shiso, tobiko, avocado, and sweet soy sauce, is one of my faves. The Stuffed Shishito, tempura fried peppers stuffed with togarashi goat cheese and topped with a spicy chili sauce, was another major favorite at our table.

Yuki Yama is a must-try for everyone who like Japanese cuisine and sushi. It really delivers and is rightfully at the top of our list of the finest restaurants in Park City.

We discovered this beautiful café with fantastic serious coffee, terrific cuisine, and outstanding service one morning before going off to hunt waterfalls.

Meals here are made with the finest local seasonal ingredients, with a focus on the Australian culinary culture from whence the founders come. We couldn’t get enough of the amazing display of its dinners.

Five5eeds, which is open everyday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., is one of the greatest restaurants in Park City, with a menu that includes smoothies, bowls, all-day breakfast, and lunch options. One of my husband’s customers raved about his Pulled Pork Benedict, which had two poached eggs, apple cider hollandaise, granny apples, bread, and pulled pork. Excellent advice, since he enjoyed it!

The Hotcake with mixed berries, citrus mascarpone, almonds, and seeds was delicious. This is a beautiful and delicious meal.

If you like healthy eating and distinctive inventive meals, Five5eeds is the place to go.

Riverhorse on Main Street

This is one of Park City’s oldest and most prestigious restaurants, with multiple accolades from Forbes Travel Guide, AAA, and other restaurant review sites.

The Riverhorse location in the town’s refurbished Masonic Hall is remarkable on its own. Apart from its history, it has a fashionable urban ambiance and serves varied upmarket American cuisine and inventive seasonal specialties. As a consequence, the menu changes dependent on the freshest foods available.

The menu includes appetizers, major dishes with halibut, trout, salmon, ahi, and other seafood, and, of course, Utah beef. My Macadamia Crusted Alaskan Halibut, served with broccoli, herb-whipped potatoes, and mango, received rave reviews.

While I’m not a big lover of short ribs, my husband is, and he chose the Durham Ranch Buffalo Short Rib with wilted spinach, poblano cream, and red pepper pesto, along with jalapeño hush puppies. Well, I admit it: this has the potential to entice me to the dark side. That was just amazing!

If you’re searching for a unique eating experience in the center of Main Street, this is a terrific option among the top restaurants in Park City.

Freshies Lobster Company Inc.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for our family on our stay to Park City. Who’d have guessed that a restaurant in this boisterous inland western ski resort would offer fresh lobster? They do, and it’s incredible.

The lobster is flown in from Maine and is as fresh as it gets. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the small nautical-themed cafe and food truck are open everyday. Delectable New England food such as chowder, sandwiches, pies, and more are also available. Here’s why this restaurant made our list of the greatest restaurants in Park City.

Lorin Smaha, the restaurant’s owner, was up in New England and grew up on lobster. Her motto is “coast to door in 24 hours” to provide the freshest fish available. Despite the menu’s tantalizing offerings, we had to opt with the lobster roll.

It’s no surprise that Maine’s Down East Magazine named the casual cafe The World’s Best Lobster Roll. Is it really that good? Being a lover of New England’s lobster rolls, I could shut my eyes, take a mouthful, and I’d swear I was in Maine.

The sandwich is served on a New England-style bread with butter and spice, allowing the high-quality lobsta to speak for itself. Oh wow, did it work!

7452 Brasserie

We got the chance to eat at this magnificent lunch restaurant thanks to a suggestion from our hotel concierge. The restaurant is located in the St. Regis above Deer Valley, and simply getting there is half the excitement.

Visitors take a closed funicular up the mountain and are then rewarded to stunning views of the whole valley while eating al fresco on their mountain terrace with live music. Brassiere 7452 gets its name from the fact that it delivers elegant French comfort cuisine at a height of 7,452 feet. It was a hot day in the valley, but it was much cooler on the patio, which was surrounded by lovely breezes. So much so that the sprawling fire pit flanked by Adirondack chairs was lighted.

While the restaurant does not accept bookings, customers should arrive a little early or later than the peak lunch hour. It didn’t take long for every table on the patio to be occupied, and no one seemed eager to go.

The Charcuterie Board, which includes seasonal choices of local artisanal cheeses and cured hand-cut meats, was suggested by our waitress. It was ideal for sharing with a glass of Louis Latour French Chardonnay and Bourgogne Pinot Noir. Additional menu items include raw and cru seafood, appetizers, sandwiches, sides, and main courses.

The St. Regis trademark dining restaurant Rime, which is next to the Brasserie, also has breathtaking vistas and a fantastic food. On our next trip to Park City, we want to try this eatery, which came highly recommended.

Visit Chimayo if you want superb service, a calm atmosphere, and delicious, imaginative cuisine. This salon offers the image of a western paradise with colorful lighting and wrought iron elements, Southwestern throw cushions, and real Mexican tile floors! It’s one of Park City’s greatest eateries.

Its Mexican and Southwestern-inspired cuisine is always evolving and features the chef’s unique inventions! The attention to detail and the high quality of the innovative entrees set this restaurant apart.

Start with a basic Chimayo Margarita, a local favorite, if you wish to explore their menu. Begin with El Trio and then go on to The Duck Enchiladas, which will astound you!

Yet, the much-touted Spare Ribs are equally deserving of praise! After being seared in a cylinder and snugly wrapped, they are wonderfully coated with a sweet barbecue sauce.

Atop the cylinder are onion rings topped with mashed potatoes and chives. They’re served with a side of verde hominy sauce, which is a nice contrast to the barbeque sauce. Absolutely wonderful and enticing!

Everything is amazing, beautifully prepared, and certain to provide you with an unforgettable Mexican lunch in Park City!

Fletchers’ cooking was wonderful, and the overall experience was stunning. The service was excellent, and the personnel was pleasant. Fletchers’ location and ambience were fantastic.

I highly suggest you to walk in if you want to experience something new or have never been there before.

We started with an heirloom tomato salad with Burrata and a pesto vinaigrette, then moved on to some delicious biscuits.

My companion got the portobello chicken, which was excellent, but my salmon was the best I’d ever eaten. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the Thai chili sauce gave a little heat.

Despite the fact that we were already full, we ordered the mud pie, which was a frozen delight! This restaurant would be wonderful everywhere, so don’t miss it on your next Park City visit!

Firewood, the Main Street restaurant owned by chef John Murcko, is the place to go for wood-fired meats and beverages. The rillettes, coal-roasted carrots, and elk are only the beginning.

All of the activity in the kitchen can be seen from behind the restaurant’s massive wood-fire grill, which is situated in front of antique windows.

Firewood delivers New American heirloom cuisine with seasonal menu adjustments that use the freshest local ingredients. The majority of their meals are cooked over an open flame using wood selected by the chef, such as cedar, cherry, and maple.

Chef John Murcko is an open-flame cooking lover who has returned to Park City after operating more than 25 restaurants in Park City and Sun Valley.

Firewoods’ design includes turn-of-the-century industrial warehouse finishes, reclaimed bricks and timbers, warehouse windows in the kitchen, and a handcrafted Chefs table. Firewood also has a separate bar level where private parties and events may be conducted.

All of the salads, including the heirloom carrots and wild mushroom starter, were fantastic. Our favorite main dishes were the Angus Tenderloin and Lamb Rack, although we really liked the Wagyu Manhattan. Therefore, if you haven’t already, give it a chance. You will not be disappointed!

Silver Star Restaurant

This small, rustic café at Park City Ski Resort’s Silver Star chairlift serves freshly produced dishes such as delectable burgers, soft French dip sandwiches, and crisp salads. Here are a few more reasons why it is one of Park City Utah’s greatest restaurants.

If you want a peaceful eating choice away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street, this is a fantastic location to stop for lunch after hiking up Park City Mountain.

The waitress recommended the Osso Bucco, which was served with coconut cream corn and was a refreshing break from the typical hefty side of potatoes. My companion chose the Mahi Mahi, which was very fresh.

It’s a fantastic restaurant with delicious cuisine, ample amounts, and outstanding service. In my view, this is one of the greatest restaurants I’ve ever visited. Try it out!

Kitchen Dish

Chefs who were frustrated with traditional high-end restaurants and kitchens where food was stored in freezers for hours on end created the Vessel Kitchen.

They wanted to discover a method to provide customers fresher, quicker, and more satisfying dining options.

Their cuisine is prepared with care, and they provide daily specials as well as an extensive wine selection. Vessels cuisine focuses on fresh ingredients and creative combinations, featuring seafood selections, European-inspired entrees, and staples like the avocado flatbread and Arctic char sandwich.

My companion and I ordered the Good and Plenty bowl, which comes with pulled pork, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, white BBQ sauce, pickled apple, Korean chilli, and parsley.

This combination makes delicious comfort food. I sipped some sparkling water, and the whole meal was quite delicious and enjoyable.

Vegans and vegetarians have several choices as well! Don’t miss out on this excellent Park City restaurant!

City of Bartolos

One of my favorite Park City Utah restaurants is Bartolos, which provides excellent Italian food in a welcoming setting.

Alex and Rhia Bartolo, a husband and wife team, opened the doors to this new neighborhood trattoria in 2019 and have been serving classic Italian pasta dishes ever since.

Since they provide breakfast, lunch, and supper, Bartolos is a terrific place to eat at any time. Their food is usually delicious and fresh. The cuisine is very delicious, the ambiance is bright and contemporary, and the service is always nice and excellent!

Although the night menus, such as House Focaccia, Fried Pork Chop Picatta, and Chicken Fettuccine, are delicious, breakfast and lunch are your best options! Brioche French Breakfast, Tomato Gazpacho, Summer Savory Waffles, and even Rigatoni Bolognese are on the afternoon menu!

And because we don’t always want to go up to Main Street for great cuisine, we’re glad they’re in Kimball Junction! Please swing by Bartolos for some delicious food, fantastic coffee, and pleasant service!

Fern Twisted

Twisted Fern is a wonderful alternative for dinner or even a weekend brunch if you’re searching for one of the top restaurants in Park City Utah but away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street.

Appetizers and entrees are great, well-prepared, and presented, and their menu includes a decent variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian choices.

And if you want to sample some of the most tender pork chops, this is the place to go! The Octopus Appetizer, as well as any other seafood meal on the menu, is also highly recommended, particularly the Utah Elk!
