19 Top Lake of the Ozarks Restaurants | Mid-Missouri Dining

Rate this post

Missouri has been referred to be a midwestern flyover state.

Many people’s initial ideas of food are those commonly connected with a type of barbecue, either St. Louis or Kansas City.

Or maybe to one of Missouri’s other legendary foods, such as toasted ravioli, the St. Paul sandwich, or the gooey butter cake.

During a recent vacation to Lake of the Ozarks, I was pleasantly pleased and delighted by the large range of activities available to both visitors and residents.

Since the Lake of the Ozarks has more coastline than California’s Pacific Coast, you can assume there are hundreds of food and beverage outlets to select from. Some I discovered on the advice of a coworker, while others I discovered by coincidence. All of them were definitely worth my time.

The Top 18 Lake of the Ozarks Restaurants

Restaurant on the Rise

Osage Beach Parkway 573-348-4224

This one-of-a-kind restaurant promotes itself as a brunch spot, yet it is open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Days of operation change according on the season, so always check their website for the most up-to-date information. They provide a large range of breakfast and lunch meals, as well as a delectable bakery.

They offer a fantastic, memorable cuisine. Friends with Benedicts (a variety of poached eggs), Between the Slices (sandwich options), and Grown-Up Coffee are among the menu categories (containing alcohol). On The Rise serves beignets that rival those seen elsewhere in the nation, as well as omelets and scrambles, salads and flatbreads, and some fascinating beverage options.

If you like chocolate, you’ll love the Ghirardelli Chocolate Milk with Whipped Crème. Maybe the Monkey Juice, a frozen combination of bananas, strawberries, and orange juice, is more to your liking. Maybe you should simply settle with a variation of their coffee.

Are you a true gourmand? I’ve collected a selection of the greatest gourmet presents for you and your loved ones. Subscriptions for cheese, meat, and sweets, as well as some classic must-have gourmet devices.

The Pan-Fried Chicken Schnitzel was one of the menu items that piqued my interest. It was a meal I had never tasted before, anyplace, with capers, caramelized lemon, breakfast potatoes, fried egg, and crispy pancetta. Maybe next time! A close customer advised me that I had passed on a fantastic meal.

Bend Restaurant & Bar

+157369315531622 Horseshoe Bend Pkwy, Lake Ozark, Missouri 65049, USA

The restaurant provides spectacular views of the lake as well as a highly clean, elegant, and high-end dining experience. It was a beautiful evening sitting on the terrace, overlooking the lake and the neighborhood. It boasts a beautiful outlook and is rather uncrowded.

Our waitress was courteous and well-mannered. She swiftly accepted our order and followed up with us after the meal was delivered. More waiters arrived as well. They were really worried about how we felt.

The charred chicken Caesar salad was a hit with my companion. The components were arranged in four quadrants, with a substantial quantity of protein in the middle. That was a simple yet delicious meal.

I ate a wonderfully cooked prime rib. I also had a Bullet Rye Old Fashioned, which was delicious. They provide a substantial dish, more than enough for two meals. The garlic mashes were delicious. Garlic may be overbearing in certain situations, but not in this one.

Lastly, it had the most incredible gravy. It’s called mushroom Demi glac, and it’s fantastic for dipping ribs in. Despite the fact that I dislike mushrooms, I enjoyed this. Check out this restaurant!

TAVERN ON THE TURN

+157355287674466 Horseshoe Bend Pkwy, Village of Four Seasons, Missouri 65049, USA

Tavern on the Bend is without a doubt the best new fine-dining establishment on the lake. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was terrific. Its a lovely area to meet with friends and family to celebrate any occasion.

The inside was well-designed and seemed more like a Montana luxury hunting lodge than a lakeside restaurant, which was a welcome contrast.

My companion and I then shared a sea bass and a steak, as well as a baked potato. This was one of the most delicious sea bass dinners I’ve ever had. The sauce they provided with it was delicious.

The ribeye was delicate enough that it could be sliced with a fork. Superb cut of steak made just to request.

My only issue is that it didn’t have my seasoning on it, which would be impossible, but it was still a really fine piece of meat, beautifully cooked, and when paired with the sea bass entrée, it was a very enjoyable lunch.

The service was great. I’ve never had to ask for a refill of water or a soft drink if I’m drinking one- the glass becomes low and they instantly replenish- it’s a little thing, but it makes a difference.

Tacos fusion Rojas

+1 573-552-84841375 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, Missouri 65049, USA

Rojas Fusion Tacos is a delightful little hidden gem near Lake Ozark. This sort of meal is not often available in Lake Ozark’s center, whether you are a local or an outsider.

With just one mouthful of Rojas hot-off-the-grill tacos, youll realize why I claim theyre among the finest in town.

We were blown away the instant we arrived in Rojas. It offers a modern and stylish vibe while yet being comfy. Also, their food is delicious!

We had the Al Pastor tacos, which were fantastic and contained pork marinated in Mexican peppers and spices. We also had some delectable birria tacos. They were fantastic!

If you want to eat real Mexican cuisine, this is the place to go!

The H. Toads Bar & Restaurant

at the Camden on the Lake Resort

Bittersweet Road

You can tell you’re in for a good time just by looking at the name, which is an abbreviation for Horny Toad. H. Toads is a relaxed and unpretentious restaurant, bar, and grill. You may relax inside or outside and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. Next door is the Toad Cove Entertainment Complex, which has some of the greatest entertainment in the Lake of the Ozarks.

Camden on the Lake Resort is situated nearby H. Toads. You may not only stay in excellent lodgings, but you can also experience some of the best entertainment in the region. Are you spending the day at the lake? No problem, just bring your boat in. They provide marina services as well as a swim-up bar and swimming pool.

You may order from the Toad Island Menu, which provides casual meals (think dips, wings, pizza, and burgers), or from their full dining menu. The fish, paired with mashed potatoes, squash, zucchini, and red pepper jam, is my favorite.

Do you want more pasta? No worries. Try the Alfredo Penne Spaghetti with Parmesan and garlic cream sauce.

Whichever food you choose, the landscape in front of you will complement it.

Mexican Cantina MaMa CiTas

+15736939946939 Chef St, Osage Beach, Missouri 65065, USA

We had a great time there for lunch! After the hostess had seated us, a young server with a terrific attitude took our seats and asked all the right questions and made educated suggestions depending on our tastes. He recommended some incredible, well prepared, and totally delightful meals.

I always judge a Mexican restaurant based on the quality of its salsa, margaritas, and entrees. This site clearly satisfies all criteria and then some!

I had the most delicious, freshly prepared margarita. The ceviche appetizer was tasty and refreshing, and the portion size was ideal for sharing. The handmade tortillas and shrimp tacos were both delicious and savory.

The waiter was quite helpful in proposing local attractions. You will not be disappointed if you eat here on any occasion.

Bentleys

+157336553013100 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, Missouri 65049, USA

Bentleys is a hidden treasure in Lake Ozark. It offers amazing food and a terrific atmosphere. I returned twice in a row since the supper was so delicious! I’m not exaggerating when I claim this restaurant has the best seafood in Missouri.

They have a unique cuisine with seafood that you won’t find anyplace else.

Our lunch was delicious! That was the most delicious French onion soup we’d ever eaten. My companion requested the restaurant’s signature King-cut prime rib. I requested scallops gratin.

A delectably fresh salad of baby greens topped with the original, housemade Mayfair dressing accompanied each meal. New hot buns kept arriving. Margaritas were well-seasoned and swiftly served after being requested.

We did not order dessert, though we were really tempted. It is a breathtaking place that should not be missed!

La Tapatia Taqueria

Osage Beach Pkwy, Osage Beach, MO 65065, United States +157334811615838

Taqueria La Tapatia is a must-see if you like Mexican food. The environment of this restaurant is notably different from that of other Mexican restaurants; its décor is spectacular and refined. The dinner served here is one of the best I’ve ever eaten.

We had a huge beef burrito dish, which was fantastic. The tortilla was thin and delicious, the meat was delicate and well cooked, and the salsa verde and crème on top were delicious.

It was served with beans and rice. The beans were fresh, handcrafted, and delicious. That was the best thing we’d eaten in a long time. We also ordered thequeso fundido, which was wonderful. The chorizo was spicy and fiery, but it also had a lovely, long-lasting nutmeg flavor. That was incredible.

Then I drizzled some over my burrito, and it was delicious. Since the burrito and rice were so full, I struggled to finish them.

Bottled drinks were available, and I drank some kind of Mexican club soda, while my companion was overjoyed to obtain some Mexican Coke. We dined at a picnic table outside the restaurant.

Come here if you enjoy Mexican cuisine and don’t mind not having a nice place to sit; you won’t be disappointed!

The Roadhouse at Wobbly Boots

573-348-22774717 The Parkway at Osage Beach

Being in the Midwest, delicious BBQ must be mentioned. They have taken delight in providing great Ozark Barbecue here for over 20 years. Wobbly Boots has received numerous prestigious national prizes, including the American Royal, Memphis in May, and Iowa BarbeQlossal, to mention a few.

The eatery is laid-back and sports-oriented. You may watch your favorite team on the big screen while enjoying delicious cuisine and chilled beverages.

They offer a fantastic cuisine. Start with the fried pickles or the ribbies and wings, in my opinion (pork spare ribs and chicken wings). Maybe you’re in the mood for both!

You may next go on to BBQ plates or sandwiches, steaks, seafood, or burgers. The hand-pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw is delicious!

Want to have a party but don’t want to cook? Wobbly Boots will cater your event, and your guests will adore it!

Domenicos Italian Restaurant

Osage Beach Pkwy N, Osage Beach, MO 65065, United States +157334853354737

Such a fantastic Italian restaurant. The meal at this restaurant was wonderful. The restaurant was well decorated and had a tranquil and romantic environment.

The service was amazing, the personnel was incredibly nice and lovely, and the food was wonderful. The meal was really delicious and filling. My tummy was ecstatic after eating here.

I got the Veal Parmigiana with meat sauce over pasta instead of marinara sauce, which was amazing.

I skipped the salad and went for the soup of the day, clam chowder. It was perfect. This restaurant is highly recommended for everyone visiting Osage Beach!

Bobbers is a restaurant.

at the Alhonna Resort

573-365-2634677 Drive Outer

Bobbers, located in the family-friendly Alhonna Resort, is the ideal of convenience for resort visitors.

Yet, you do not have to be a visitor to enjoy the restaurant’s relaxed environment. Since the resort is seasonal, it is always recommended to check the website for the most up-to-date hours of operation.

Bobbers provides traditional morning fare including eggs, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. Alcoholic drinks are also available to accompany your breakfast.

Try pairing your meal with a Bloody Mary, Mimosa, or Tequila Sunrise. There are appetizers and burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pizza available for lunch and supper.

The Gator Bites are one of the menu’s standout products.

Yeah, alligator is lightly breaded and deep-fried then served with a Thai spicy sauce. The White Cheddar Cheese Curds were my pick. These were delectable!

Together with your meals and beverages, you may play darts, pool, listen to music on the jukebox, or just gaze out the window at the breathtaking view of the lake.

Café Rusty Rooster

+157369317783247 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, Missouri 65049, USA

Lake of the Ozarks area! Although polite, the staff is also knowledgeable. The food is excellent, and the prices are quite reasonable. If you are in the Osage area, you should visit this place.

We dined on a delectable home-cooked breakfast buffet. Excellent farm-to-table food that is always served fast and fresh!

One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had was the Eggs Benedict with crab cakes. The filled French toast is very amazing. The bloody Mary is a must-order.

Swing by for a delicious breakfast or lunch in a comfortable setting that will fill you up!

ROYAL LUXURY DINING

+15737233000250 Racquet Club Dr, Lake Ozark, Missouri 65049, USA

This motel in Lake of the Ozarks is a well-kept secret. We had dinner with friends at the Royal last night. The cuisine was excellent. Everyone of us had a different entrée.

They were perfectly prepared, tasty, and delivered on time. Our waiter was kind and helpful.

Let me to share the atmosphere as well. White tablecloths, breathtaking waterfall walls, immaculate surroundings (important at the Lake), and superb lighting. There was some background music, which was a lovely addition and didn’t disrupt our conversation.

The wine selection was amazing; it wasn’t your standard Lake of the Ozarks grocery store food that you’d find at other Lake of the Ozarks establishments.

Everything, including the steak, salmon, shrimp, and grits, was amazing. Delicious appetizers and sweets.

The second best-kept secret is hidden behind the exquisite wooden door in the corridor behind the glass walls of the Royal, 1899 Bourbon, and Cigar Bar. Definitely worth a try!

Little Rizzos

Horseshoe Bend Parkway 573-365-3002146

Little Rizzos, voted Best Italian Cuisine on the Lake, is recognized for its thin crust pizza, fresh veggies, and well guarded hand-crafted recipes. They feel that making fresh dough every day is what distinguishes their pizza.

Its position is convenient for local tourists, but they also look after their residents.

Weekly wing and draft beer deals are available, as well as loyalty cards. The environment is casual and welcoming, and the dress code is Lake Casual.

I suggest the Chicken Parmesan with their incredible House Salad or the Fettucine with Shrimp with Ciabatta bread.

The House Salad might nearly be considered a meal in and of itself. It was made up of fresh lettuce, chopped red peppers, green onions, and Provel cheese.

The creamy Italian dressing was made using a red wine vinegar base and added Parmesan cheese for good measure.

While creating a sauce, you can taste the difference that excellent ingredients, particularly fresh herbs, make. The cuisine was outstanding and stood up to their boast of having the best Italian food in town. Their servings were large and well worth the praise.

The Strip’s Stewarts

Bagnell Dam Strip

Stewarts has been a Strip fixture since 1953. It’s a busy site that caters to both tourists and residents, business folks and holidaymakers. Depending on your time of arrival, you may have to wait in line for a table.

This is the essence of a homey, neighborhood restaurant. Stewarts provides big breakfast and lunch servings.

The sausage, toast, and hash browns are delicious, but they also provide French toast, biscuits and gravy, and hotcakes and grits. The classic meal of eggs, bacon, and toast

Lunch options include sandwiches, burgers, and platters of country-fried steaks or fish & chips. All are served with a grin and some lighthearted banter.

Stewarts is well-known for their massive cinnamon rolls, which I believe are the biggest I’ve ever seen.

They prepare them fresh every day, and the gooey richness of the roll may easily satisfy four or more people.

Unless you have a group of ten, the server will usually leave the take-home container, knowing that there is a good chance of leftovers. This is an absolute must-have while visiting.

Tucker’s Shuckers Oyster Bar and Tap

Bagnell Dam Blvd., 573-365-97691339 Bagnell Dam Blvd.

When you think of mid-Missouri, fresh oysters aren’t often readily available. Tuckers Shuckers defied this preconception.

They have fresh oysters delivered daily, and they have polished a terrific eating idea with a variety of additional dining alternatives.

A relaxed, pleasant, and amazing restaurant can be found along the busy Bagnell Dam Strip.

Although their tap offers a wide range of beers and liquor, including several IPAs, their cuisine is as varied. Raw or steaming oysters are served on the half shell. They may also be charbroiled, barbecued, or served as oyster shooters.

Appetizers vary from wings and dips to rich New England clam chowder and beef fondue (all of which are amazing!).

If oysters aren’t your thing, they also provide steak, burgers, salads, and sandwiches.

The French Dip thinly sliced prime rib topped with provolone and served with au jus is highly recommended. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention dessert.

Even though there was little space left after the dinner, I couldn’t pass up the Crme Brulee. That was the perfect finale to a great supper, served with a mixed berry sauce of cranberries and raspberries, as well as whipped cream.

Reserve Restaurant, 1932

Proctor Drive, 573-693-91971202 Proctor Drive

If you’re looking for upmarket fine dining, go no farther than 1932 Reserve. In luxurious settings, a farm-to-table restaurant overlooks the lake.

The structure dates from 1932 and is located in Osage Beach’s oldest hotel and bar. It has been repaired and remodeled using authentic materials from the historical period to create the luxurious hotel and eating establishment that it is now.

The Reserve Lofts are located right above the restaurant, providing visitors with easy access to the restaurant. It is believed that after its reconstruction, being in the 1932 Reserve feels like being in a magnificent speakeasy.

The charcuterie board, which includes a selection of cheeses, meats, honey, almonds, and crackers, is one of the menu’s standout products. Another dish that piqued my curiosity was the beet salad. This dish is made up of roasted beets, candied walnuts, green onions, goat cheese, and figs that have been tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette.

If you want an entrée, you can choose the massive 18 oz. Cowboy Ribeye steak. The real question is, how hungry am I?

Frankie and Louie

1028 Deer Valley Road 573-374-5750

Having lunch at Frankie & Louies was one of the highlights of my trip to Lake of the Ozarks.

The ideal beachside restaurant and bar is located in an unexpected location, nestled away in a little cove of the Lake. The Midwest’s Key West, replete with beach volleyball and a Tiki bar.

Frankie & Louies is much more than a restaurant. It’s like a laid-back beach resort with a spectacular outlook. Beach casual at its best, with a white sand beach swimming area at the restaurant’s edge.

Since there is an RV campsite behind the facility, many families come to play at the beach and eat while they are there.

An arcade, gift store, ice cream shop, and boat rentals are available. Throughout the season, it is often the location for live music and entertainment in the evenings.

The menu is much more diverse than you may imagine. Start with an appetizer like filet mignon tips before moving on to a basket of battered grouper.

Salads, sandwiches, and speciality burgers are also available, as are dishes such as spicy shrimp and grits and New Orleans jambalaya. In addition, they can create you whatever kind of pizza you like.

The fried mozzarella pieces were classic, but the Beach Bird sandwich was Caribbean. On a toasted brioche bread, it was a grilled chicken breast sandwich with shaved ham, bacon, pineapple, Pepper jack cheese, and whiskey teriyaki sauce.

It was accompanied with coleslaw and little mandarin oranges. Did I mention it was fantastic? The combination of all the varied elements, along with the beach mood, was just what the day required.
