Ohms Coffee House
Amarillo, TX +18063733233619 S Tyler St
Ohms Caf is one of the top restaurants in Amarillo and is definitely worth a visit. Its tiny and comfortable, with a natural, domestic atmosphere.
Food may be purchased at a reasonable price. Since the Southwestern cuisine contains a range of locally produced ingredients, eating there helps the local economy.
Sichuan-style lamb chops with stir-fried winter veggies and Seared Organic Elk Tenderloin with carrot and potato hash and red wine demi-glace are among the main dishes. The Elk Tenderloin came highly recommended by my waitress, and I’m delighted I tried it.
Even though I don’t have a sweet tooth, I opted to sample their Espresso Crème Brulee. Therefore, coffee lovers, save some room for this delectable treat. In addition to excellent meals, Ohms provides a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
The outside patio at Ohms was similarly inviting, with the option of sitting by a fireplace and soaking in the Texan warmth.
Ohms Caf is located in the town square and is the ideal spot to spend a few hours relaxing in deep maroon armchairs while enjoying wonderful food and wine.
A tranquil and unforced mood is created by huge posters on the walls displaying abstract landscapes. It’s difficult to surpass the owner and sommelier Edmund’s warm and welcoming hospitality.

Macaroni Joes also provides fried calamari, shrimp cocktail, soups & salads, and garlic bread as appetizers.
Most Italian restaurants, like Macaroni Joes, feature a romantic atmosphere. Amarillos magnificent décor and candles will transport you to a date in Italy, complete with the same excellent service!
The meal is kept heated by small heaters above the plates, which keeps it warm and flavorful the whole time, which is a wonderful feature.
Big Texas Steak Ranch and Brewery
Amarillo, TX +180637260007701 I-40 East
The Big Texan is located in the middle of Amarillo, right off Interstate 40. Because of its unusual character, it has become a tremendously popular site among both visitors and residents, therefore I suggest making a reservation.
The Big Texan has a comprehensive cuisine in addition to burgers, ribs, and steaks. Children can even eat kid-sized steaks! Big Texan is a delight to eat at since it delivers delicious meals in opulent settings. It’s fantastic for families. It’s also a good idea to arrive to the Big Texan at least thirty minutes early to ensure a seat.
Yet, win or lose, it’s not only the steak that makes Big Texan a great location. The staff is quite kind, and they live up to their slogan of providing excellent cuisine, wonderful people, and a fantastic time.
Big Texan, in addition to providing a family-friendly setting, also hosts parties and serves amazing drinks, so you can take use of their facilities and have an evening out with friends.

Nothing beats a supper at one of Amarillo’s greatest restaurants for a fun night out with friends. Yet, if you want good cuisine and drinks, one of the best historic restaurants in town is the Goldenlight Caf & Cantina, which serves everything from a southern chicken skillet to prime rib.
They also provide delicious burgers, vegetarian alternatives, and desserts prepared by their professional chefs. It’s no surprise that everything was delicious; the restaurant has been open since 1946 and is Amarillo’s oldest.
The atmosphere is vibrant, with several local musicians playing on weekends, and you can simply keep track of the schedule on their website.
I’ll end our list of the greatest places to eat in Amarillo by saying that their Green Chili Cheeseburger with crispy, crisp fries will have me stopping by every time I’m in Texas.
A List of the Top Six Restaurants in Amarillo
Amarillo is a picturesque western town with several museums dedicated to Texas history and culture, providing residents and tourists with a plethora of activities. And after you’ve seen all of Amarillo’s great sights, there are plenty of unusual places to dine.
Although identifying the finest restaurants depending on your time limits might be difficult, you should absolutely try as many as you can. The majority of Amarillo’s history has been linked to one sort of cuisine, beef. This area produces 30% of all beef in the United States and 90% of all beef in Texas. Cows, on the other hand, no longer entirely decide local diets. Nowadays, these Amarillo restaurants provide a wide range of tastes and innovations, from comfort cuisine to sophisticated dining.
There are plenty more restaurants I want to try, but I’ll save them for my second Amarillo food quest. These seven have my gourmet seal of approval and will not disappoint.
