Bar Harbor’s Top 10 Seafood Restaurants

Lobster Pound Stewmans

+1207288034635 West St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

Stewmans is a fantastic waterfront seafood restaurant with lots of outside seats to take in the scenery. We observed it from across the street and decided to try it. The structure was ornately adorned with fish and nautical motifs.

If you want to dine on the water, head to Stewmans Lobster Pound. Its cuisine is mostly focused on seafood, featuring items such as a lobster bake with melted butter for dipping and a variety of sides. Sandwiches, salads, burgers, and non-seafood alternatives are also available.

The port and the water may be seen from the outside dining areas. This restaurant is conveniently located in Bar Harbor and offers a diverse cuisine. The service was swift and friendly, and we were seated shortly.

I choose the fish and chips. My companion tried the land and sea supper with steak and lobster. Our supper was served outdoors, and several diners ate on the dock. I drank a delectable blended drink. It was flavored with raspberry and pineapple, and there were real raspberries floating in it. Very delectable. For a tourist location, the prices were fair.

The cuisine was excellent. The scenery is breathtaking, perfectly reflecting the spirit of the Northeastern coastal ambiance. This amazing eatery should not be missed; you will not be disappointed.

Galyns

+1207288970617 Main St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

Galyns Restaurant has been a Bar Harbor landmark for nearly three decades. It’s simple to locate and stop into for a great lunch or supper since it’s situated off the main street in downtown Bar Harbor. With good reason, it’s been named one of the greatest seafood restaurants in Bar Harbor.

This restaurant is housed in a former boarding home for sailors. It has two stories and overlooks Agamont Park.

Its hand-cut steaks and excellent seafood are well-known. Their success is directly related to their great dishes. We had a good supper. You can sit wherever and feel at ease.

The most delicious lobster I’ve ever had! The personnel were informed and kind, and they answered all of our questions about the lobster and the surrounding region.

Overall, my lobster supper was arguably the cheapest I’ve ever had. The terrace was lovely, and we were fortunate to be seated there.

This Bar Harbor seafood restaurant boasts a great view of the bay and park with lots of natural light. The lobster was cooked precisely and easily removed from the shell. We were informed she was a woman. The rice and broccolini dishes were very tasty.

Geddys

+1207288507719 Main St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

Geddys is a high-end seafood restaurant with a particular specialization. Agamont Park and Geddys are both located in Bar Harbor, Maine. For years, the restaurant has been a neighborhood favorite, and the delectable fish and chips, fried fish, and mussels marinara will wow you. Moreover, this restaurant delivers real Italian food as well as excellent Italian beer, berry cider, and Grand Marnier. Among the greatest seafood restaurants in Bar Harbor, the most distinctive and attractively placed.

I opted to eat supper there after a stroll in Agamont Park, and I was not disappointed. The waitress was wonderful, attentive, and well-informed. The menu is diverse and fairly priced. Our lunches were delivered immediately, and everyone appreciated them.

We began with delectable garlic mussels. The most enjoyable part was dipping the bread in the sauce. There’s also clam chowder. We then ordered the Lobster Bake and the Lobster Roll. The lobster was delicious and cooked to perfection. Corn on the cob was also tasty.

Then there’s the Blueberry Pie. That was the finest pie I’d ever eaten; absolutely delicious! If you’re in the mood for some of the tastiest seafood in Bar Harbor, ME, this is a must-try.

Grill Fish House

+120728830701 West St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

Fish House Restaurant, situated on the waterfront at 1 West Street downtown, is one of the top seafood restaurants in Bar Harbor. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a two-story building, which also contains the Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company, the Olis Trolley (tour bus), Acadia Air Tours, and Sunrise Café.

The restaurant may be accessed by the pier or the street-side main door to the top level of the structure. There is street parking (typically for two hours or less) and a big parking lot at the far end of the building (three-hour parking restriction). Parking on the street or in the lot is free.

Dining is available within the restaurant, as well as a bar and an outdoor area on the pier. We were at a booth near a window with a view of the ocean.

Since it is in a prominent tourist region, the costs are somewhat higher, but not exorbitant. The service was courteous and quick throughout our dinner. Beverages were replenished quickly, and meal was provided on schedule.

That was a great presentation of an outstanding meal. It was topped with a huge haddock filet and stacked high with entire belly clams, shrimp, and scallops. French fries and coleslaw were included with the meal. I like squeezing lemon over my fish, so the lettuce and lemon wedge garnish was ideal.

This used to be rather frequent in seafood restaurants, but it is now uncommon. Apart for the creamy coleslaw, which was okay but not amazing on my dish, everything else on my plate was great.

The haddock, clams, shrimp, and scallops were wonderfully seasoned and gently breaded. These were a lot of fun for me. The French fries were also delicious. These were tasty, spicy, and crispy on the exterior while remaining soft on the inside. I like to add malt vinegar to my fries, which were already on the table when I arrived.

My dining companion had the seared sea scallops, which were perfectly prepared and wonderful. She also enjoyed the excellent green beans and baked young potatoes.

My second companion ordered the Baked Stuffed Haddock with Lobster Bisque, which was out of this world.

A popular hotspot in Bar Harbor! Eating fresh fish on a terrace with a view of the ocean doesn’t get much better than this, and Fish House is one of the top seafood restaurants in Bar Harbor.

Thirsty Whale Pub

+1207288933540 Cottage St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

The Thirsty Whale Tavern is an excellent option for a casual dining experience. The pub cuisine is wonderful, and the service is polite and efficient. Traditional lobster meals are available, but you may also try something new, such as fried oysters, substantial sandwiches, and a delicious drink from the bar. It’s one of Bar Harbor’s greatest seafood restaurants.

I dropped in while visiting from Delaware. The inside has a pretty nice layout. There’s a lot of tin and wood everywhere. The cuisine was excellent. We came here for lunch and were not let down. The meal was fantastic!

Everything was wonderfully prepared, and our waitress went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and were delighted! He also provided some good recommendations!

I had the lobster roll, which was smaller than anticipated but still tasty! Their whale salad tastes nearly like a Greek salad! I then ordered two Marsh Island IPAs, despite the fact that I seldom drink more than two beers with supper.

The fish and chips, blackened fish sandwich and fried haddock sandwich, clam chowder, and seafood sampler were featured on the menu. We liked the clam chowder, which rivaled one of my Boston favorites.

We all shared a blueberry white chocolate cheesecake for dessert, which was great, but the blueberry sauce on the side was much better. That’s something I’d eat with my hands. Yet, once again, everything was hot, tasty, and fresh! I will, without a doubt, return.

This Bar Harbor seafood restaurant comes highly recommended by me.

Café on West Street

+1207288524276 West St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

A 4 pound fresh Maine lobster, a cup of clam chowder, French fries, coleslaw, and a piece of blueberry pie. The West Street Café reopened in 2018 with a brand-new décor and cuisine. The Downeast Special is made up of 1-1

This is one of the top seafood restaurants in Bar Harbor and provides an exceptional dining experience. The meal was delicious! The service was outstanding, and the bartender made some very amazing cocktails! Overall, fantastic atmosphere and delectable food!

We enjoyed a wonderful early supper here! The facility is massive, the ambiance is bright and airy, and we had a view of the port from above. There were no heavy or oily aspects in the cuisine, which was light and airy.

We had mussels, a fresh house salad, and the lobster roll special (which included clam chowder and blueberry pie for a terrific bargain!). The fish was fresh and flavorful, but the chips were a touch too bready and sloppy, with no crunchy light batter.

Since we were so stuffed from lunch, we couldn’t eat dessert. I saw people ordering the blueberry pie, which looked great. On my way out of Bar Harbor, I went by to grab precisely that!

If you happen to be in Bar Harbor, you should try this restaurant; you won’t be disappointed. I strongly suggest it!

Lobster Rose Eden

+12076103060864 ME-3, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

The Rose Eden Lobster is the place to go if you want fast seafood without compromising quality. Rose Eden Lobster, originally known as the Travelin Lobster, is now a lobster takeout establishment. They provide ready-to-eat lobster as well as live lobsters if you need one urgently. These are some of the reasons why it is one of the greatest seafood restaurants in Bar Harbor:

I’ve never had better lobster. Fresh Maine lobster was offered. Their costs are really reasonable; there is no need to pay for parking, and tax is included.

Nothing out of the ordinary. There are no alcoholic drinks of any kind. There will be no live music or t-shirts available. There is just cold soda and beer available. Oh, and the clams and mussels are out of this world. Of course, there’s Blueberry Pie. A must-see in my opinion.

The Lobster C-Ray

+12072884855882 ME-3, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

C-Ray is located on the north side of Mount Desert Island, just outside of Bar Harbor. C-Rays was the perfect first visit for me since I wanted my lobster fix as soon as possible! This lobster shack has a real, rustic vibe.

I had approximately three lobster rolls on this trip. Large amounts; if you prefer lesser quantities, share yours.

Very clean. I inquired about the bare roll. The naked is served cold, with drawn butter instead of mayonnaise, and so forth. The lobster was chilly, and the bread was toasted to perfection. That was like being in paradise!

They also have some of the finest clam chowder I’ve ever eaten! I ate it while sitting in front of the fire. Overall, I had a nice day and ate excellent cuisine at this hidden treasure among Bar Harbor’s greatest seafood eateries.

Havana

+12072882822318 Main St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

Havana has been devoted to offering local and organic meats, fruit, and seafood since its founding 23 years ago. All of their meats are humanely grown and naturally reared, which means they were given plenty of room to roam, proper shelter, and gentle treatment.

This is one of Bar Harbor’s greatest seafood restaurants. Add it to your list of must-see places. Our server started us off with a really tasty amuse Boucher composed of pastry and different herbs. We were then presented with a basket of multi-grain bread, blueberry cornbread, and a tiny dish of honey butter, chile oil, and white bean dip. Everything was in order.

The bread was wonderful. My buddy was sipping a Cuba libre. He was overjoyed. I enjoyed a fantastic Havana martini with fresh pineapple juice.

We both had the Peruvian stew, which was delicious. The broth was wonderful. My sole hope was for a tiny basin in which to hold the mussel shells. My companion ordered paella, and I ordered lobster.

They top the paella with socarret (charred layer of rice), which provides crisp and a great taste when coupled with the fish. The quantity of seafood in the paella was astounding. My companion battled to finish it, but declared it to be one of the greatest paellas he’d ever tasted. It included scallops, mussels, and lobster stuffing.

My lobster entrée was covered in a delicious coconut sauce. It was rich and delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic. To summary, it was a wonderful and pleasurable experience.

The Diagram Room

+12072889740565 Eden St., Bar Harbor, Maine 04609, USA

The Chart Room served me a delicious meal. We went when everything was very congested in downtown, and we couldn’t even locate a parking place. It is directly on the sea and offers beautiful views.

The Chart Room personnel were exceptional; they were polite and informed, with just the appropriate degree of engagement. They worked incredibly hard to ensure that we were properly cared for. Everything we ate was wonderful and well prepared.

The lobster stew was a wonderful small appetizer special that was packed with flavor; delicious. In addition, I enjoyed one of the finest lobster rolls I’ve ever tasted. My companion had a full lobster, while my wife got a lobster salad. They were all outstanding. The Chart Room understands how to prepare great lobster!

I asked the proprietor how they made their lobsters so delicate after we completed our lunch. She explained the seasonal variation in lobster age, something I was unaware of. Of course, there’s also the fact that they were prepared to perfection in the kitchen!

Overall, I heartily suggest the Chart Room as one of Bar Harbor’s greatest lobster restaurants. Therefore, the next time you’re at Bar Harbor, go back, and I believe you should. I like that they are a tiny, local company that is aiming for success. That effort is shown in every meal they offer. It belongs among the top seafood restaurants in Bar Harbor.
