Mont-Tremblant is just 80 miles north of Montreal, yet it seems to be a world apart. Yet, this winter haven is a luring destination carved out of the Laurentian mountain range, with cobblestone lanes lined with buildings that mirror Montreal’s Old City, with brilliant red, marigold walls, and turquoise roofs.
Mont-Tremblant is a ski resort town and a picturesque community with year-round activities for people of all ages. If you don’t feel like skiing, there are plenty of other things to choose from, such as rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, and great eating. And, sure, there is fantastic pizza in Tremblant; in fact, it may be one of the greatest pizzas you’ve ever had.

The Old Four
Rue de St Jovite, Mont-Tremblant, QC J8E 3J8 +18194255992973
Le Vieux Four is a must-see attraction. We were lucky to come at a non-peak hour and were greeted by an excellent server.
The ambiance was fantastic, and if you sit inside, you can watch the cooks toss the pizzas into the brick oven as you eat. All of our meals were delicious and filling without being too heavy or fatty.
The food came hot and steaming, smelling and looking delectable. My companion had the Linguine Carbonara, which came with a deep, creamy sauce, well cooked linquine, and a generous amount of bacon.
A huge salade Panache with a light creamy balsamic vinaigrette was shared by everybody. After that, I ordered the Prosciutto La Roquette pizza, which arrived with a side container of fresh arugula and a sizable piece of large shaved parmesan, which I topped the pizza with just before dishing.
It also included a regular balsamic vinaigrette, which I delicately drizzled over the arugula atop the pizza. We started the dinner with a toast to the chef’s creations, whispering with delight at every mouthful.
Eating in is the best way to enjoy the wonderful service and those hot out of the wood oven pizzas with a robust glass of red wine, but takeaway is also an option in this location. If you’re in Tremblant for pizza, I highly suggest going here for a wonderful and fun visit, particularly on a Sunday!
