The 45 Greatest Restaurants in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta’s Finest Casual Restaurants

Bonito Restaurant

+523222596958 Jardines de Las Gaviotas, Of Los Tules 325

Bonito Kitchen is a safe option for Asian dishes and hand-crafted beverages. The variety of locally obtained food items makes this the greatest Asian restaurant in Puerto Vallarta and one of my favorite places.

Small meals ranging from Fried Vegetable Wontons to Slow-Cooked Pork Belly Dumplings are available at Bonito Kitchen’s two locations. But, their Camarones de Coco Frio is the clear winner on the small plates menu.

Bonito Kitchen, on the other hand, is well-known for its weekly specialties. For example, Green Curry is served on Wednesdays, Pho is served on Saturdays, and the Bonito Kitchen Centro location used to serve dim sum every other Sunday until they had to relocate. The owner informed me she intends to bring it back soon, so keep an eye on their social media outlets for updates. I suggest making a reservation for dim sum since it is popular and rapidly fills up!

You don’t have to look much farther for a high-quality Asian eating experience.

Fiamma’s Pizza

Calle Havre 111, Versalles +52 322 365 5615

The most real Italian-style pizza restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, in my view.

Outside of Italy, this is some of the greatest pizza you’ll find! Possibly because the proprietor is Italian and imports many of his components.

Apart than pizza, the menu includes changing specials, but the pizza was the highlight for me. But, another buddy informed me that their lasagna was also delicious.

I also brought an Italian friend who was visiting from Italy, and she was really pleased.

The service and atmosphere are relaxed, almost family-style. The proprietor visits each table, refilling wine glasses, proposing food, and making small chat.

The atmosphere encourages you to stay with your friends, order that second bottle of wine, and make the night continue a little longer.

Takos Panchos

+523222221693 Zone Romntica, Basilio Badillo 162,

Panchos Takos is widely regarded as having the greatest tacos in Puerto Vallarta. And, judging by the hour-long wait that gathers outside every night, it seems that most people agree. And it’s not only visitors that wait in line; if you see locals standing in line for tacos, you know they’re delicious!

Panchos has a wide menu, but their signature dish is the al Pastor tacos. Their tacos are filled with crispy pork, cilantro, onions, roasted pineapple, and topped with your favorite salsa, resulting in taco nirvana.

Panchos Takos is one of the greatest places to dine in Puerto Vallarta and offers some of the best tacos that Puerto Vallarta has to offer, thanks to its amazing tacos and real flair.

The Finale

Atmsfera 149, El Caloso +52 322 136 7662

The cuisine at La Fina might easily have earned them a spot in the fine dining category, but the restaurant itself is more informal, and the location is a little out of the way, so I’m lumping it in with other casual restaurants.

It was tough to choose which foods to order since everything on the menu seemed excellent. Fortunately, my pals opted to split plates! We determined we’d need to return before we even had our appetizers.

Popular items included the short rib and pig shank sope, but the menu changes often, so you’re sure to find something you like.

You should certainly make a reservation- I had to reserve many days ahead of time to obtain a table at the time we wanted, but it was well worth the wait! In addition, service is a little sluggish, but the cuisine is worth the wait.

Wok Archies

+523222220411Francisca Rodrguez 130, Zone Roma.

Archies Wok is one of Puerto Vallarta’s greatest Asian fusion restaurants. Their cuisine is brightly colorful, and their chef-created menu is absolutely unrivaled.

Archies Wok may seem to be a casual fast food restaurant, but it is one of the greatest locations to obtain Asian cuisine in Puerto Vallarta.

Dishes that are stir-fried. Those who are daring enough to try the beef tongue in green curry should do so, but if you aren’t, the menu contains plenty of standard selections as well. I like any of their curries or wok dishes.

Sonorita Olas Altas Tacos

Pino Surez 232, Zona Romntica +52 322 244 2155

Tacos Sonorita is a formidable contender in the never-ending discussion over where to locate the greatest tacos in Puerto Vallarta.

In fact, if you don’t want to wait in line at Panchos, Sonorita is my top recommendation. Several friends believe it is even better than Panchos.

I enjoy how there is more room here and you don’t feel hurried, but at Panchos the line of people makes you feel rushed to eat and hurry to go.

Sonorita also has a fully stocked bar, which is convenient. They offer a comprehensive menu, but I generally have tacos al pastor or especiales, which are traditional pastor tacos with beans and cheese.

If you like blue corn tortillas as much as I do, be sure to request them!

Joe Jack’s Seafood House

Basilio Badillo 212, Zona Romntica +523222222099

Some of the greatest seafood in Puerto Vallarta comes directly from Joe Jacks Fish Shack. This casual eating establishment provides a dynamic dining experience as well as an enthusiastic bar setting.

Whether you’re searching for a lively evening experience with Mahi Mahi or some delicious Fish & Chips, Joe Jacks is the place to be. The grilled octopus is usually wonderfully cooked, and their ceviche sampler is an excellent chance to experience many excellent variations on the traditional dish.

Even though they are a seafood restaurant, they are widely known in the area for their Sunday and Thursday fried chicken specials.

Have a look at their vast menu, which includes a multilingual guidance for non-Spanish speakers.

The India Gate

Allende 124, Centro, Malecon +523222232424

Customer service at India Gate is among the finest in Puerto Vallarta. Moreover, they provide fascinating menu options such as mango rice and coconut rice, various types of curries, and a variety of naan options.

Their cuisine is nice, and certain items are excellent, but it was the service that truly impressed me. They intended to have a good dinner experience.

Monzn Brewing Company

Venustiano Carranza 239, Zona Romntica +523222609718

Monzn Brewery is mainly a brewhouse that serves local beer, ale, IPAs, and craft beers. They do, however, offer a fantastic vegan cuisine. My favorite craft beer in Puerto Vallarta is their IPA.

Their beer-battered fried fish tacos, as well as their aguachile and loaded nachos, are excellent.

If you want something a little heavier, the BBQ Beer Brisket Tacos are number two on the menu, and the burger my buddy had looked delicious as well.

Azafran

Calle, Olas Altas 507 +523222232060

Azafrn opened its doors in October 2017 with a fresh menu and concept. The restaurant is called after the Spanish word for saffron, and it is more than simply a restaurant; it is an experience that provides a one-of-a-kind gastronomic adventure while giving polite service.

The restaurant’s food is driven by a distinct menu that highlights the greatest goods from across the area. Menu offerings include Mushroom and Ricotta Stuffed Chicken Breast with Creamy Saffron Risotto, Fresh Tuna Carpaccio in a coriander sauce, and the delectable Passion Fruit Sorbet with Pistachio Foam for dessert.

The restaurant has a modern Mexican-style cuisine with a broad range of meals to delight every palette, including marine delicacies, steaks, and homemade desserts.

This is another restaurant that may have made the fine dining list, but the ambience is a little more casual than some of the others. The cuisine, service, and plating are all of the highest caliber.

Additionally, be sure to check out their wine list, which includes some of my favorite Mexican selections.

Cabbage (Red)

Riviera del Ro 204A, El Remance +523222230411

Red Cabbage offers gluten-free meals, healthful foods, and traditional fare. This restaurant’s pleasant service is a great advantage, and the rates are fairly cheap.

This establishment’s vibe is different since it offers a pleasant setting with homely design, which has helped it acquire loyal customers who come time and time again.

Entrees such as Chiles En Nogada, Carnitas En Salsa Verde, and Albondigas Enchipotladas are among the options. Their meatballs in chipotle sauce are fantastic!

This restaurant is fantastic! The food, beverages, and ambience all combine to provide an unforgettable experience. Red Cabbage Café is a terrific restaurant, and it’s no surprise that they have such a loyal following.

Los Muertos Brewing Company

Lzaro Crdenas 302, Zona Romntica +523222220308

The brewery has a unique American sports bar ambiance, and with Televisions located throughout, you can dine and watch a game from almost any corner of the eatery. The dining establishment

The restaurant, which is located in the old town at a pretty busy junction, attracts a lot of attention owing to its open-air layout.

Its menu include traditional pub fare such as burgers, chips, chicken fingers, and pizza. Since it is a brewery, there is a good selection of beer, including eight craft brews. My favorites are their IPAs.

With a full-service bar, draft beer, pizza deals, and more, watching sports games here is a pleasant experience. The environment is really friendly. There is also a diverse range of music to appeal to people of all ages.

With ceiling fans, the open-air position is fairly pleasant. There is additional seating both below and above. When it was packed, we sat at the long bench tables. So don’t pass it up if it seems to be full!

The Merida Grill

Venustiano Carranza 210, Zona Romntica +523222227211

Mrida Restaurant is two blocks off Puerto Vallarta’s main street, yet hidden away enough not to be noticed- except for the massive tree decked with lights that grows from the middle!

It’s an open restaurant with a lot of personality, nice wait staff, and a menu full of Yucatecan foods. I used to reside in Merida, the Yucatan’s capital, and their adaptations of traditional foods never fail to please.

There were no other diners in the restaurant when I arrived, but the host welcomed me pleasantly. Then he seated me at a table near an open window with wooden shutters protecting it. It was wonderful to dine away from the heat for a while.

This Puerto Vallarta Mexican restaurant boasts a menu that would please even the pickiest diner, with a variety of tacos and entrees. Red Enchiladas, Yucatan-style ceviche, panuchos, salbutes, and many more meals familiar to me from my time living on the opposite coast of Mexico are on the menu.

Merida Grill has something for everyone, from seafood to hog to vegetarian meals. You can even get tlayudas, one of my favorite Mexican foods that is technically an Oaxacan dish rather than a Yucatecan dish, but let’s not mince hairs!

If you want to understand more about Yucatecan cuisine, read this post on the 12 finest Yucatecan meals.

Casa 449

C. Fco. I. Madero 449, Zona Romntica +523226887000

Casa 449 is a modest Old Town restaurant that serves an excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. This is a place with a lot of heart, and it’s one you want to see flourish.

It is without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. It is managed by a local family, and the proprietor is an experienced and excellent cook. He also works as a waitress and bartender. He is great in all of these jobs.

The indoor dining area has a lovely ambience, and every meal and beverage was delicious.

Their great morning menu includes Talpa Eggs with Chorizo and a few more meal options, as well as wonderful waffles for dessert.

Casa 449 also has an amazing supper menu, and although it is not just a vegetarian restaurant, my vegetarian friends like their vegetarian alternatives. The welcoming proprietors and employees are always prepared to modify recipes to meet vegetarian diets.

Mei Vegan Ramen

+523223150171C. Jurez 467, Proyecto Educativo

This nice, calm, and relaxing establishment is a little hidden and might benefit from more window promotion.

I was delighted to discover a good vegan alternative in Puerto Vallarta. The bargain is sealed with some uncreamed (and slightly spicy) ramen.

I got fantastic vegan gyoza the day I was there, as well as outstanding service and ownership.

My vegan and vegetarian friends who I brought for lunch praised the orange chicken, gyoza, edamame, soups, and service. We can’t wait to return!

Caribbean Cuisine with Oregano

+527551311505 Versalles, 130 Aldanaca

Caribbean food at its best in Puerto Vallarta, led by Chef Graciela, complements the vibrant wall art with her superb culinary talents.

Taco, the pet pig, roams the property with his curly tail continually wagging. Taco snorts and nudges you with his lovely moist nose when your hand is close, in addition to taking food.

The cuisine is authentically Caribbean, tasty, fresh, and bright. Having visited a few Caribbean places previously, this one struck the mark with its oxtail stew and chicken curry, which reminded me of some of the Jamaican foods I enjoyed last year.

The menu is well designed and includes images of the cuisine they offer. The right side of the menu has a line of fresh herbs, spices, and condiments that you’ll want to take notice of since they give so much flavor to their recipes. While eating here, you can also see right away that the restaurant only employs the best foods.

The tastes were well-balanced and did not overwhelm. The service is the finest part. Vincenzo serving and Roberto preparing beverages make an excellent team. They made us feel at ease and welcomed.

Lamara

Hamburgo 108, Versalles +523222253800

This Puerto Vallarta restaurant really wowed me. Lamara is situated in the center of Versalles, an up-and-coming district featuring some of Puerto Vallarta’s greatest restaurants.

Lamara serves tasty, fresh seafood in a variety of ways, all served in generous servings that may be shared. Tostadas, particularly ones with fresh fish and coconut, are my favorite.

They provide a complete bar as well as a fantastic range of craft beer and desserts. They provide good service at very reasonable costs.

The best times to visit Lamara are early in the afternoon, when there is usually a wait, and late in the afternoon. When they become busy, they run out of stuff.

Budaixi

+523222210983 155 Hamburgo, Versalles

This is without a doubt one of Puerto Vallarta’s most genuine Asian eateries. Of course, tacos and ceviches are must-orders in Mexico, but don’t overlook this place for lunch if you’re wanting Asian cuisine. This level of Taiwanese cuisine is among the greatest I’ve had outside of Asia.

It’s a gourmet trip into tastes seldom encountered in Puerto Vallarta, and no item on the menu can go wrong.

They have excellent baos, dumplings, wontons, fried noodles, and a nice assortment of teas with the option of adding tapioca.

The cuisine features classic tastes and good quality, as well as courteous service. In a warm, casual setting, there are numerous sitting choices, including countertops and tables.

Budaixi will not disappoint you. It’s one of my favorite hangouts in the area.

Be warned that Budaixi only takes cash, so carry some with you or you’ll have to visit the nearby ATM.

Greek Bistro Opa

+523222934500Francia 199 D, Versalles

Opa Greek Restaurant has been added to Puerto Vallarta’s Mediterranean-style gourmet scene. This takes the town’s total number of Mediterranean-inspired eateries to two, as far as I’m aware.

This restaurant has elevated the dining idea in this area with its superb service and exquisite meals.

My companion and I split plates so we could try more of the meal. Everything we ate was wonderful. To finish the dinner, there was spanakopita, falafel, tzatziki, lamb gyros, and the most gorgeous fig mousse.

The room was spotless and air-conditioned, which is a major benefit in the heat. And the personnel was helpful and kind.

Florios Versalles is a Spanish artist.

+523223653849 Versalles #167, Hamburgo

Florios, another popular Versalles restaurant, is great for a romantic supper or a night out with friends. Its menu includes pizzas, meats, and classic Argentine empanadas.

This tiny restaurant, situated on a quieter street (by Versalles standards), with outside dining and fantastic music. But that’s only the beginning. Steaks, pizza, and spaghetti are among his favorite foods.

Superfood Salud

+523221399398Olas Altas 534-A, Romntica Zone

Salud Superfood is a wonderful and nutritious method to cleanse from all the heavy cuisine in Puerto Vallarta.

After eating hot or oily cuisine for a change, you may rest at Salud Superfood in Puerto Vallarta without compromising any perfection; taste, quality, and healthiness are what you will discover at this super-food place.

I was blown away by how tasty all of the meals were! I was pleasantly impressed by the grilled chicken sandwich and the salad dressing as soon as I took my first mouthful!

The grain bowls were another meal I enjoyed here. These are fantastic! My favorite dish was the Thai bowl.

The remainder of their menu is wide, including burgers, noodles, sandwiches, tacos, and wraps produced with high-quality ingredients.

The Barra Light

Rodolfo Gmez 134, Zona Romntica +523222234756

Barra Light, just minutes from Muertos Beach, is one of my favorite restaurants for healthful dishes—perfect for hot summer days when you want something lighter.

You may add seeds, vegetables, and even pasta salad, which is one of my favorite toppings! Several items are available on the menu, but the construct your own salad option is the most popular. You choose your base, then your toppings, dressing, and nuts.

If you’re not in the mood for salad, try the protein potato, which is another of my faves. Be sure to get the yogurt basil dressing with your salad or potato—addicting! it’s

Hawaiian Kitchen Poke Poke

Francia, Sobre Liverpool 102-L5 +523226887401

Poke Poke is the greatest location in Puerto Vallarta for poke bowls and other Hawaiian delicacies.

Another of my favorite healthy eateries in Puerto Vallarta, their poke bowls are the ideal light meal to combat the heat! Additionally, I know I’ve named a half-dozen favorite eateries, but I swear by them!

Poke Poke’s appetizers include Hamachi Crudo, Tuna Tartare, and Shrimp Chips. Hawaiian cuisine is known for its light meals, which is why it only uses natural and healthful ingredients.

For the foundation, use quinoa or salad, then top with any toppings and dressings you can think of! Their poke bows come in a variety of flavors, including raw fish or cooked shrimp, fruits and vegetables, and rice.

Puerto Vallarta’s Finest Fine Dining Restaurants

Three Pies

Lzaro Crdenas 292, Zona Romntica +523222222773

Tre Piatti arose from the expertise of Chanan Kamen, an Israeli chef with experience in top Italian restaurants in San Francisco, New York, and Miami, as well as Natalie Aguirre’s pastry and bread abilities.

It is one of Puerto Vallarta’s greatest Italian restaurants, with delicacies like calamares con alcachofa crujiente (crispy artichoke) and pasta with sausage ragout pesto and gorgonzola.

You may also taste the specialities, such as the duck pappardelle or the agnolotti, and conclude with a mandarin and vanilla cake.

Because of the chef’s restless desire and the menu that varies every two weeks, it is the ideal spot to return to many times.

Tre Piatti also boasts a large range of wine and creative cocktails, and the waitstaff is quite knowledgable in pairing the right drink with your meal.

This was one of my favorite locations to take gourmet friends visiting Puerto Vallarta on a date.

Tintoque

Aquiles Serdn 445, Zona Romntica, +523222211460

Joel Ornelas takes gourmet dining to its logical conclusion at Tintoque, with free-flowing wine and some of the greatest meals I’ve tasted in Puerto Vallarta.

In addition to Pacific soft shell crab, sashimi, and heirloom tomatoes roasted for 36 hours, blue, white, and yellow corn esquites (Mexican corn salads) truffled and topped with huitlacoche are on the menu- one of my favorite dishes on the menu!

A sommelier creates wine pairings for each meal if you pick the tasting menu, which I highly suggest. At our final supper at Tintoque, the short rib was also a favorite.

Iguana Restaurant and Tequila Bar Casa Kimberlys

Zaragoza 445, Central +523222221336

Mexican restaurants in Puerto Vallarta vary from informal to formal settings. If you want to have a high-class night out, attempt to reserve a seat at Casa Kimberlys Iguana Restaurant and Tequila Bar.

Guests will love the atmosphere in the open-air eating area, and if you’re fortunate, you could even get to dine to the sounds of mariachis.

Casa Kimberly serves premium cocktails and an evening menu with dishes ranging from Pork Shank to Wild Fish. As a result, Casa Kimberly offers not only some of the greatest meals in Puerto Vallarta and a terrific dining experience, but also some of the best fish in Puerto Vallarta.

San Angel Hacienda

+528778156594 336 C. Miramar, El Centro

Visitors may enjoy a gourmet dining experience at Hacienda San Angel, replete with mariachis, a changing chefs menu, and a seasonal brunch with violinists. Moreover, Hacienda San Angel serves Mexican-inspired world food on a beautiful outdoor terrace.

If you want to eat exquisite cuisine on a rooftop, Hacienda San Angel has some of the finest meals in Puerto Vallarta.

The patio of Hacienda San Angel is especially stunning during breakfast and brunch hours, and the dress requirement assures that you will be surrounded by other great eaters.

The menu items rotate on a seasonal and chef-driven basis, but if you have the opportunity, I strongly suggest the machaca. Hacienda San Angel has some of the most beautiful scenery.

Cantaro de Cantaro

Basilio Badillo 219, Zona Romntica +523226882159

De Cantaro is a mezcal bar and grill that serves some of Puerto Vallarta’s greatest meals. Visitors will appreciate their traditional live-fire grilling process, and the ambience reflects the authenticity of their food preparation manner.

My favorite meals are the grilled salmon, steaks, aguachile (with roasted pineapple base), and lamb osso buco.

You can’t go wrong with De Cantaro for a delightful date night experience at one of Puerto Vallarta’s greatest restaurants.

Makal

Lzaro Crdenas 311, Zona Romntica +523223549878

A boutique restaurant may not be at the top of your list of the finest restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, but it should be. Makal is just a few minutes from the main street, yet you’d never know it from inside.

You get the impression that you have stumbled upon a hidden jewel. Makal stands out as one of the town’s most delightful dining rooms in an area recognized for its mid-range eateries.

Add in the fact that the cuisine is delectable. It boasts a broad variety of drink selections and reasonable costs, so it’s no surprise that Makal is popular with both tourists and residents. Make reservations since spaces are limited.

Makal has an a la carte menu, but I recommend their tasting meal, which includes wine pairings. This would be an excellent location for a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. If you want to make it a truly memorable night, opt for the premium wine matching since some of the pairings were wonderful wines from wineries I hadn’t heard of.

Sushi Shibui

+523222764095 Marina Vallarta, Gaviotas 108

Shibui is a terrific spot to visit when in Puerto Vallarta! It is housed in the Casa Ritual Hotel Boutique and serves Michelin-starred Asian cuisine.

The greatest sushi in Vallarta, hands down! Shibui serves meals in the Omakase manner. If you’re unfamiliar with omakase eating, it means that the chef cooks anything he wants for you using whatever is fresh that day.

Go for it if you’re daring and like trying new things. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

At an omakase restaurant, you sit and watch the chef cook your meal in front of you, generally on a counter with numerous knives handcrafted by the owner’s brother-in-law.

It provides excellent entertainment as you wait for your dinner. Apart from the wonderful service, the cuisine is out of this world, and the fish is so fresh that it actually melts in your mouth!

Shibui has a sibling restaurant Sendo that is just as amazing if you are staying in the Romantic Zone!

Top View Restaurants in Puerto Vallarta

Kliff, Le

+523221214935 Mismaloya to Barra de Navidad Carretera

Le Kliff is one of Puerto Vallarta’s greatest fine dining restaurants, with a stunning outlook and superb service. And, although the food isn’t outstanding, the experience is definitely worth snagging while you’re in town.

The restaurant is a little out of town, which makes it inconvenient for guests. You may, however, organize a taxi or Uber transport to the restaurant, and the restaurant will arrange a cab to return you to your hotel or Airbnb.

While Le Kliff is a popular destination for travellers, it is strongly advised that you make a reservation before stopping by. If you make a reservation, request a table with a view and a sunset hour.

The Palapa

Plpito 105-3, Zona Romntica +523222225225

La Palapa is another Purto Vallarta restaurant with a spectacular view. If you want a beachfront experience with Mexican and Mexican fusion food, this exquisite spot on Los Muertos Beach is a must-visit.

La Palapa is a wonderful alternative for breakfast, lunch, supper, or drinks.

La Palapa provides exceptional eating selections and is one of the top restaurants with a view, from their Huevos Vallarta breakfast plate with avocado, red sauce, and beans to their la Palapa Shrimp platter.

Of course, it’s not just one of the greatest places to dine in Puerto Vallarta; it’s also one of the best locations to enjoy beach drinks.

La Palapa has a wide selection of margaritas with mango, serrano chilies, and pineapple. Check out La Palapa while you’re in town!

The Canto del Mar

Zona Romntica s Lzaro Crdenas

At this modest and quaint café, you may sit on the beach and have a chilled Corona while gazing out at the sea. Also, the personnel at this site is courteous and attentive.

Their delectable cuisine includes coconut shrimp cooked to perfection, red snapper, grilled octopus, and fish tacos.

Prices are reasonable, the seafood is fresh, and the beer is cool. What more could you want?

The Capella

Miramar 363 B, Centro, +523226886269

This restaurant, La Capella, has breathtaking views of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay.

This is my go-to spot for special events like birthdays and anniversaries, and it’s where I’d bring someone visiting Puerto Vallarta if they were planning to propose.

There are several recipes produced with fresh ingredients and inspired mostly by Italian and French cuisines.

On weekends, La Cappella also provides a variety of exotic buffets, including Mexican, Chinese, Italian, and seafood buffets! Seared scallops, vegetarian fusilli, and pig Osso Buco Marsala are among the dishes on the menu.

The open-air dining area overlooks the city and the Bay of Banderas. It is great for romantic tte—ttes as well as family gatherings. The ambiance is classy but not stuffy; suit coats are not necessary!

outside private dining rooms, and one of Puerto Vallarta’s top wine lists! In addition, the restaurant organizes indoor events.

Tapas in Barcelona

Matamoros 906, Central +523222220510C

Barcelona Tapas, one of the greatest restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, serves regular tapas as well as weekly specialties.

When it comes to salads, paella, and cold and hot tapas, Barcelona Tapas is unquestionably your best choice in Puerto Vallarta. Following dinner, try a house beverage like the Cadillac Margarita, followed by Sauteed Bananas for dessert.

Of course, the cuisine at Barcelona Tapas is unrivaled. Yet, their cuisine isn’t the only incentive to visit or book a reservation.

Barcelona Tapas is guaranteed to provide an exceptional visual experience in addition to a fantastic assortment of Spanish tapas. Barcelona Tapas has an excellent perspective of the city with the skyline in the distance, making it one of the greatest restaurants with a view in Puerto Vallarta.

Mar and Vino

+523222267100Zona Romntica, Olas Altas 380

What about a table with a view? From the swimming pool? When you’re eating? Mar y Vino is located on the rooftop of the Beach El Arcos Hotel. Tables are set at the shallow end of a pool, with your feet chilling in the water while you lose yourself in the beauty of Vallarta’s stunning blue bay shimmering below and bobbing with ships.

We could order from a vast list of meals, many under $15, including specialities like shrimp ceviche while standing just below the arches that covered the terrace and helped the hotel radiate the spirit of ancient Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta’s Top Breakfast Restaurants

Café Olla

Basilio Badillo 168, Zona Romntica +523222231626

Caf de Olla is a terrific breakfast establishment that you will not be disappointed with.

Caf de Olla is popular with both residents and guests, so try to be there early in the morning before the queue builds. Chilaquiles, machaca, and piloncillo are popular meals.

If you get the chance to stop at one of the greatest breakfast spots in Puerto Vallarta, be sure to visit Caf de Olla.

Coco’s Restaurant

Plpito, Olas Altas 122, +523222230373

Cocos Kitchen is a great, laid-back breakfast spot, particularly if you’re staying at one of the surrounding hotels. Cocos is a favorite of many repeat visitors to Puerto Vallarta, and when my friends come to visit, they often have breakfast or lunch here every morning.

It might become crowded at times, but that’s because everyone knows they serve wonderful cuisine.

The restaurant is tiny and offers a nice ambiance. The diner-style menu includes breakfast staples such as pancakes and omelets.

The French toast, on the other hand, is the restaurant’s true standout. It’s served with either banana slices and honey or chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

I began with the Mixed Vegetable Omelette, which also included avocado and jack cheese. The dinner was completed with fresh veggies and a wonderfully cooked omelet.

Their rosemary potatoes were delicious. Crispy exteriors gave way to a fluffy inside with just enough rosemary flavor.

In this gorgeous restaurant, enjoy your breakfast with a glass of fresh juice, a peaceful mood, and pleasant people all around. They also provide a risky mimosa made with freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juice- since brunch isn’t complete without mimosas!

PV Cafetalito

+52 322 365 1888 Emiliano Zapata, Pulpito 196-A Colonia

Cafetalito is one of my more recent breakfast finds in Puerto Vallarta. Cafetalito is set on a hill just off the main strip.

The informal diner includes omelets (my fave is the chicken pesto omelet), French toast, pancakes, bagels, waffles, salads, and much more.

The service is swift and pleasant, and if you need to work while in Puerto Vallarta, this is one of my favorite locations to do so.

Get a side of hashbrowns with your meal- they’re the finest in town!

Puerto Vallarta’s Best Bars

Whether you’re searching for a night out, late-night cocktails, or simply some casual beverages, Puerto Vallarta will not disappoint. These are all terrific alternatives for guests, and you cannot go wrong with any of them.

La Playa Bar

Lzaro Crdenas 179, Zona Romntica +523221002272

Craft cocktails, mezcal, beer, and a mezcal special for 75 pesos are available at Bar la Playa. Their beverages are served in real glassware, so anticipate a large mason jar if you want a frozen drink.

Of course, they’re not only famed for their hand-crafted cocktails (though that’s a good enough reason to go), but also for their $15 peso natural fruit jello shots served on a watermelon rind talk about presentation!

If you prefer a more traditional cocktail, La Playa has you covered. They provide an outstanding range of martinis and a G&T for folks who want to keep things simple.

Whether you’re weary of the nightlife or just want a peaceful spot to unwind for the evening, El Colibr Bar is a good option. This speakeasy pub in downtown Puerto Vallarta is one not to be missed.

El Colibr bills itself as a quaint, welcoming, jungle-inspired patio, and they definitely live up to the billing.

Their handmade drinks and locally produced beers fit nicely in with the laid-back ambience that starkly contrasts with the nightclub culture that has taken over Puerto Vallarta.

As a result, El Colibr is one of my favorite spots in Puerto Vallarta for a drink.

Chictini

Chictini provides a trendy and stylish environment while delivering tasty beverages prepared by professional personnel.

Chictini is best defined as a small place where experienced mixologists prepare hand-crafted cocktails using top-shelf liquors, a well curated wine selection, and their famed view of the ocean and city.

Chictini is a labor of love that represents the owner, with a custom-built zinc bar, a menu from the owner’s own tequila collection, wicker couches imported from Italy, an antique sound system from the 1920s, and even day vintage elements.

The sleek, sophisticated venue with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the city is an excellent location for sunset cocktails and one of my group’s favorite spots.

The Sun

El Solar is a fantastic small beach bar situated only a short walk from Zona Romantica.

The main bar contains a pool table, and the DJ can be found in the sidebar outdoors. It’s a good spot to go for a few drinks, some food, and some fun without spending too much money.

During weekends, the beach bar is popular. But, if you don’t like crowds, I recommend coming on Monday when the location will be almost empty and you may enjoy it by yourself.

I haven’t sampled the cuisine, but every dish that passed by our table looked delicious!
