Despite the fact that it is not a German restaurant like the other famous restaurants in Helen, Bigg Daddys is a terrific pick for anybody looking to dine where the locals eat. When we went on a Thursday night during the off-season, it was still bustling.
There was a concert with live music! The guy singing and playing an acoustic guitar was incredible. He had a lovely voice and could play the riffs in the songs like an expert.
It was great to sip their draft beer. The greatest thing is that if you order a 32-ounce beer, you get retain the gorgeous cup!
Surprisingly, their fish and chips, which I had, were equally superb. I chose a draft German beer in a 32-ounce commemorative cup. Since we were both hungry, we shared the Crockpot Potato Soup and Krainerwurst Platter, which also included sauerkraut, German potato salad, and a pretzel bun. Both the beer and the meal were delicious!
