The 8 Best Brasov Restaurants-
Bistro de l’Arte
George Enescu Square 11B // 0720 535 566
The wonderful cuisine at Bistro de l’Arte, which is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Brasov and was really a warehouse in its previous life, is brought to life by the restaurant’s emphasis on locally sourced foods.
The pasta and seafood dishes, in addition to the vegetarian alternatives such as this cauliflower in a garlic cream sauce, were among the selections at a recent dinner that stood out as some of our favorites.
The roasted duck leg that was served with peas and pancetta that had been crisped up was also wonderful.
In addition, the wine list and craft cocktail menu at Bistro de l’Arte are also rather extensive.
Sub Tâmpa
Aleea Tiberiu Brediceanu // 0740 316 661
The cutting-edge architecture of this exquisite eatery, which is situated at the foot of Mount Tampa, is the first thing that strikes visitors upon entering the establishment.
At Sub Tampa, a restaurant that specializes in contemporary Romanian cuisine, traditional dishes such as tripe soup, oxtail, veal sweetbreads, cow tongue, and Rocky Mountain oysters are reimagined as part of an upscale dining experience.
Oysters from the Rocky Mountains
In the event that you are not in the mood for tongue or testicles, you also have the option of selecting dishes consisting of fresh fish or pasta.
A bottle of wine from the restaurant’s extensive list is the perfect complement to the restaurant’s great views, which are afforded by its location slightly above the city. In such a stunning and sophisticated restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised to find the prices to be quite reasonable.

L’Etage
Strada Republicii 50 // 0745 328 328
This jazzy little piano lounge is known for its funky atmosphere and frequent live singing performances. The live piano music is a major draw for many customers, but the restaurant’s food also delivers on the wow factor.
Burgers that look irresistible can be found on the menu.
and impressive dishes made with fresh seafood.
According to my tour guide, L’Etage also has a reputation for having the best pizza in Brasov. According to him, it is “the best in Romania, and the best outside of Italy.”
Trattorian Artisan Food
Piața George Enescu 14-15 // 0772 222 555
It will be challenging to choose what you want for supper at Trattorian since the menu offers such a wide variety of mouthwatering options. Traditional Italian fare is served with American favorites such as steak and ribs.
The beef tagilatta was one of our favorites among the dishes.
and pizzas with a crispy crust.
In addition to this, their location is quite convenient and simple to discover.
Terroirs Boutique du Vin
Strada Postăvarului 2 // 0733 539 586
Terroirs has an extensive wine list but does not offer a wine menu. You have a conversation with your waiter about what you’re looking for, and they will offer suggestions and pairings based on the food you select for your meal.
You also probably wouldn’t think of a wine bar as a place to go for burgers, but the wine bar in question has an enormous burger menu that was crafted by an Australian chef. In point of fact, Terroirs served some of the most delicious burgers that we tried anywhere in Romania.
In addition to delicious burgers, Terroirs caters to carnivores by preparing a variety of mouthwatering grilled meats. On the menu is a massive rack of ribs that have been barbecued in an American style.
steaks that are cooked to perfection and are very juicy.
Festival ’39
Strada Republicii 62 // 0743 339 909
The goal of the decor inside Festival ’39 was to recreate the atmosphere of a restaurant from the late 1930s, so there are plenty of oversized leather seats and chunky wooden furniture. In addition, on most evenings, the restaurant features live music provided by a pianist who helps to further enhance the ambiance.
This enticing atmosphere is complemented by a menu that features not only traditional Romanian dishes but also dishes from other countries and vegan options.
One of the most popular items on the menu is the roasted pork.
and fish preparations grilled on the grill.
Be sure to save room for dessert because they are known for their lemon tart, and you won’t want to miss out on it!
Trattoria POCOL
Strada Apollonia Hirscher 12 // 0731 606 065
At Trattoria POCOL, they not only have an Italian chef but also a menu full of ingredients that are imported directly from Italy, so you know it’s going to be delicious!
At POCOL, you can expect to find traditional Italian dishes prepared in a straightforward manner and to a high standard. During the time that you are making the decisions regarding the rest of your order, you should begin with a caprese salad.
It will be necessary for you to make a choice between grilled meat dishes, pizzas, homemade pastas, grilled fish, imported ham, and many other options.
You are guaranteed to be satisfied with the option that you pick in the end.
Gaura Dulce
Piata Sfatului 14 // 0268 523 099
The rotating daily menu at Gaura Dulce features a variety of traditional Romanian homestyle recipes that are offered at one of the best prices in town — only 19 lei, which is equivalent to $4.71 USD.
What more could a customer want from a restaurant? Not only is the food delicious, but the portions are substantial, and the price is unbeatable.
A helpful hint: If you happen to visit on a day when carne la garnita is being served, don’t pass up the opportunity to sample it; it’s a local favorite that’s hard to come by! In addition to that, give the smoked mushroom soup and the house wine a shot.
