If you live in or intend to visit New York City, you must prioritize consuming at least one New York slice (but preferably multiple). In New York City, I’ve had my fair share of pizza, and there are so many terrific eateries with even better slices.
While it was tough to limit my selection to just seven eateries, these are the ones I believe are a must-visit for anybody desiring a slice, whether it’s a standard slice with mozzarella and marinara sauce or a loaded speciality slice.

New York City’s Finest Pizza

If you’re searching for some delicious pizza, look no further. You should go visit Da Nonna Rosa in New York City. This restaurant is one of my favorites since it is both informal and sophisticated. Da Nonna Rosa delivers a selection of great custom pizzas, conventional NY-style pizza, and pizzettas, in addition to the wonderfully polite staff members.
Vodka ravioli pizza, vegan veggie pizza, and Bianca pizza are among the speciality pizzas available. The white eggplant pizza, with breaded eggplant, creamy ricotta, plum tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese, is my favorite. Da Nonna Rosa also serves Pizzettas, or tiny personal pizzas, like the Neapolitan Pizzetta, Nonna Pizzetta, Gluten Free Neapolitan Pizzetta, and Cauliflower Crust Pizzetta. If you haven’t tried cauliflower crust before, I highly suggest it.
Pizzeria La Villa

La Villa is a more expensive pizza restaurant, but it is well worth it. Sweet fennel sausage, pepperoni, homemade meatball, sauted mushrooms, roasted peppers, caramelized onions, sliced country ham, black olives, imported anchovies, sauted broccoli, sauted spinach, fried eggplant, and specialty toppings such as prosciutto di parma, speck prosciutto, sauted broccoli Rapa, organic grilled or breaded fried chicken are all available. EVOO and freshly sliced garlic.
If you prefer one of their specialty pies, the Prosciutto E Rocchetta is constructed from herb coated focaccia with handmade mozzarella, layers of prosciutto di parma or speck (smoked prosciutto), wild arugula, shredded parmigiano reggiano, and drizzled EVOO. This pizza has been wood-fired.
Nevertheless, certain pizzas, such as the Sottosopra, may be served deep dish style, with upside down layers of handmade mozzarella topped with marinara sauce or tomato & basil sauce, pecorino romano, and extra virgin olive oil.

While the name may be deceptive, Pasta-Eria serves some of the tastiest pizza in New York City. Pasta-Eria, located near Hicksville, is a great place to get pizza to go or to dine in. The White Pizza (Neapolitan) is characterized as having heaps of pizza cheese and handmade mozzarella with spotted ricotta, shredded romano cheese, and a hint of garlic oil.
Their Special pie is a substantial blend of sausage, meatball, pepperoni, pepperoni, onion, and mushrooms over mozzarella and tomato sauce. If you like meat, the Special pie is something you should absolutely get. Apart from the delicious pizza, the waitresses and pizza makers are quite nice. This restaurant is fantastic, so prepare ahead of time if you want to dine there, particularly on weekends around supper time, since it can become rather packed.
Spumoni Gardens L&B

If you want a good pizza in New York City, go to L&B Spumoni Gardens. You won’t be disappointed. The World Famous L&B Sicilian Pie can be found in L&B Spumoni Gardens. While this pie costs $30, it is well worth it since it is amazing. If you just want one slice, you can purchase one for $4.
Toppings, on the other hand, are only available for full pies. If you want to add a topping to your pie, you may do so for $7.75 per additional cheese, mushroom, sausage, pepperoni, or anchovies. While a restricted pizza menu may seem strange for a world-famous pizza restaurant, I feel that the quality of the pizza is exceptional since it is their specialization.
Since their plain Sicilian slices are so good, this business doesn’t need to provide elaborate slices. While there are two sites in NYC: Bensonhurst and Dumbo (both in Brooklyn), I suggest visiting the original one in Bensonhurst, which has been serving customers since 1939.
Pizza Emmy Squared

While Emmy Squared offers a diverse menu, their pizza is outstanding, thus I would classify this establishment as a pizza restaurant. This restaurant is unusual in that it can make all of its pizzas gluten-free upon request using CUP4CUP GF Flour. As a result, this is an excellent solution for folks who have dietary limitations. Undoubtedly some of New York City’s greatest pizza.
Emmy Squared has some interesting pizza pies with ingredients that I had never seen on a pizza before. The Big Al pizza, for example, is covered with red sauce, burrata, basil, sausage, and Calabrian chilies, while the Colony is topped with red sauce, Ezzo pepperoni, pickled jalapeos, and honey. I prefer Emmy Squared’s pizza since it is served square and the pies are the ideal size for sharing with a group as an appetizer or for one person to take as an entrée.
Despite the fact that this restaurant serves specialized pies, my personal favorite is the Traditional pie with red sauce and mozzarella. Apart from the delicious pizza, the staff is quite nice, and the restaurant’s décor is contemporary, which I especially like. In New York City, there are four locations: Upper East Side, Theater District, East Village, and Williamsburg.
I’ve only visited the places on the Upper East Side and the East Village. But, since I had a positive experience at both on several times, you are likely to have a positive experience at either of the eateries. If you want to get seated promptly at Emmy Squared, I would suggest making a reservation.
The Sicilian is

The Sicilian is definitely my favorite pizza restaurant. This Park Slope, Brooklyn, eatery is fast casual and lacks waiters, which is ideal if you want to get a slice quickly and go on with your day. It serves some of New York City’s greatest pizza.
The size of the slices is what I like most about them. I prefer to eat when I’m hungry, so I know I’ll never be hungry when I visit The Sicilian. I have a lot of favorites from here, but my favorite is the Buffalo Pizza, which is topped with boneless chicken breast cooked with spicy buffalo sauce, blue cheese, and scallions. Other popular pizzas are the Eggplant Pizza and the Chicken Marsala Pizza. Request extra napkins since these slices might become rather messy.

If you’re hungry and in the mood for some savory pizza, go over to Emmetts in SoHo for a piece or two of deep-dish pizza. Emmetts is famous for its deep dish pizza in the manner of Chicago. I went all out and ordered The Cheese Louise with their trademark caramelized cheese trust when I dined at Emmetts. This was a pizza slice I’ll never forget. This was a real delight for me as a cheese lover. I made sure to arrive hungry since it was also my first time tasting deep dish pizza, but even so, I couldn’t stomach two pieces, despite how delicious they were.
Fortunately, the waiter went out of her way to get us a box so I could have leftovers for lunch the following day. Along from The Cheese Louise, there are other speciality pizzas to pick from, like The Big O and This Buds For You. The pies are available in a range of sizes and at various pricing points. A 10-inch feeds two people for $22, a 12-inch serves three people for $26, and a 14-inch serves 4-5 people for $30. Specialty pizzas, such as The Cheese Louise, which costs $26 for a 10-inch, are more pricey.
Whether you’re seeking to eat with a group of friends or a big group, Emmetts might be a cost-effective option if you divide the bill. Apart from the wonderful pizza, the staff was exceedingly friendly and flexible when we came an hour early for our reservation and were seated promptly. I couldn’t talk about the restaurant’s interior since we sat outdoors. The outdoor dining area, on the other hand, was extremely lovely and allowed for people watching, which I usually like when eating.
