You could notice a Mazarati or two when driving around Southlake, plus more than your share of Mercedes and BMWs. Southlake is a wealthy community in Tarrant County, almost midway between Fort Worth and Dallas.
The city boom started in the 1970s, with the establishment of DFW International Airport. Southlake started creating master-planned communities in the early 1990s, and luxury developments expanded in the 2000s.
Highly ranked in academics and athletics, Carroll Independent School District features the Carroll Dragons sports teams, state champions in practically every event. Southlake is home to scores of sports stars, including Terry Bradshaw, Mark McLemore, and Darren Oliver, as well as football players DeMarcus Ware, Marcus Spears, and Terrence Newman, as well as baseball players Jon Daniels, Ken Hill, and David Murphy, to mention a few. Life occurs in the kitchen, with a revolutionary American idea of freshly produced, thoughtfully chosen, and seasonally updated Mediterranean, Italian, and internationally inspired food.
Naked avocado salad, hummus, Latin fire pizza, and cocktails with fresh muddled fruits, house-prepared sours, and syrups are among the favorites. The black splash, mixed with vodka, fresh strawberries, lemon, and balsamic vinegar, is my favorite. I enjoy how TruFire provides each perfectly cooled wine in its own glasses.
The trademark cocktail is my personal favorite. Back in Texas, this cocktail is created with Fort Worth, TX Firestone & Robertson Whisky, muddled strawberries, lemon, and house balsamic that gives a little heat. That certainly was legendary.
My grilled split artichoke roasted with garlic and herbs, wine, and spicy lemon aioli was delicious. I chose the Mediterranean Shrimp Salad for lunch, which had chiffonade spinach, four big gulf shrimp, orzo, feta, cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions. The mustard dill vinaigrette brought all of the flavors together with a delightful acidity.
The house-baked blue lemon olive oil cake with lemon jam, cream, and blueberry caramel was a home run!
Ocean’s Best Seafood & Crab Trulucks

At Trulucks, I prefer to order a series of appetizers like Crab Louie Cocktail, Giant Lump Crab with remoulade, or Crab Dip Taramasalata, a Mediterranean dish topped with blue crab and olives. The Giant Lump Crab Cake with dilled tartar sauce and the Parmesan Yeast Rolls with Maldon sea salt are two of my favorite dishes.
Lobster morsels are served with horseradish goat cheese in the Lobster Bisque. I’m in bliss with a Sonoma Greens Salad with spicy nuts, goat cheese, apples, kalamata olives, and honey vinaigrette. Sharing accompaniments, such as Lobster Mashed Potatoes or Crab Fried Rice, are wonderful.
Get the Passion Margarita or an Old Fashioned. Curbside bottles of wine are 50% off, with an additional 5% discount when purchasing six bottles. A Merlot, two Malbecs, two Spanish Riojas, and a Paso Robles Cab were among the wines I picked. At the Stone Crab Lounge, cocktail hour provides 25% off all spirits under $25 and wines by the glass.
From October 15 to May 1, don’t miss out on this seasonal treat: Florida Stone Crab Claws, delivered fresh to your table rather than frozen. This chain provides consistency in accuracy, execution, and traditional preparation.
Barbeque & More at Feedstore

Southlake’s oldest retail operation, The Feedstore BBQ, has been selling BBQ since 2001. When the Lafavers relocated to Southlake in June 1974, the location was known as Millers Grocery. They bought the Feed and Tack business in 1997 and renamed it the Feedstore BBQ in 2001 after deciding to serve humans rather than animals. Since since, they’ve been delivering the greatest Texan Barbecue and sides.
Meats by the pound, meat plates, Mama’s light plate, combination plates, lunch specials, sandwiches, and large bowl salads are all available. Grab Feedstores famed St. Louis Style Pork Ribs, Papa Bills burgers, Baked Taters, Catfish, and Chicken Fried Steak with Southern Sides. The lunch deal is hard to beat: two handmade sides with a sandwich of chopped brisket or pulled pork.
Save some place in your stomach for the Cobbler of the Day with Ice Cream or Banana Pudding. With prior notice, order full fruit cobblers or whole pecan cobblers. There is beer and wine available.

Braden and Yasmin Wages, a husband-and-wife duo inspired by their travels through Vietnam and Thailand, lead a whole new side of Southeast Asian food in Southlake. You’ll notice a dedication to obtaining high-quality products and preparing meals from scratch.
The handmade lemongrass-chili glaze is wok-seared over the fried Thai Chicken Wings. The pan-seared firecracker salmon with a siracha soy sauce, served on a bed of squid ink noodles with a mustard green salad, is my favorite. With aromatic jasmine rice and Siamese watercress, the sesame-crusted tempura ahi tuna with ginger-coriander-coconut sauce is served.
They produce six distinct types of beer in their kitchen, which is difficult yet highly successful. The Dragonfruit Kolsch has a smooth and crisp body, minimal bitterness, and a balanced biscuit malt taste complemented by the delicate sweet scent of dragonfruit. It has a pleasant taste that is tempered by a range of pilsner and mildly roasted malts.

Gloria’s Hispanic Food

Gloria’s inventive meals and fresh ingredients are my favorites. Gloria and Jose Fuentes fled El Salvador to establish a tiny Salvadorian restaurant in Oak Cliff, which grew into a life-long enterprise with 23 Texas locations.
My favorite meal is the refreshing Tropical Salad, which includes spring mix greens, strawberries, mango, pineapple, and mandarins with honey balsamic vinaigrette dressing and is served with grilled shrimp or grilled chicken breast, steak, or salmon.
Appetizers, soups, salads, and special plates such as surf and turf, top sirloin, two jumbo shrimp, Carne flameada with chicken or steak, and sirloin or pork tenderloin served with fried plantain, yuca, and chimichurri sauce are available for lunch and supper.
Pescado a la Gloria, pan-seared tilapia, shrimp, scallops, red snapper, mussels in seafood broth with Spanish rice, is my favorite dish. Burritos, chili relleno, chicken flautas, crispy taco supper, chimichanga, enchiladas, fajitas, tacos, or taco al carbon are among the Tex-Mex options.
Desserts like flan, chocolate turtle brownie, and tres leches cake have added inches to my girth. Glorias in Southlake serves delicious Mexican cuisine.

Preston Lancaster worked with Chef Brian Luscher to build a popular pizza spot with a cool brew in his hometown. Make yourself at home and dance to live music on weekends, ranging from blues to country to rock. Pizzas ranging from Boss Hog to Local Goat and Fig are inventive and tasty. Pick from salads, appetizers, spaghetti, sandwiches, brunch favorites, and desserts.
With pizza chips, enjoy the Picnic Plate with house pimento, basil goat spread, gorgonzola ciao pepperoni stick, prosciutto, salami, pickled vegetables, different fruits, and nuts. Comforting pasta dishes include Texas Lasagna and Bucatini Pomodoro.
Sunday Funday brunch offers mimosas or bloody Marys until 3 p.m., as well as avocado toast, Rossa breakfast, the dawn breakfast pizza, or apple strudel pizza.
Desserts: leave space for the handmade Texas whiskey chocolate stout cake with homemade ice cream over candied bacon. Very delicious!

The appetizers here, such as jumbo lump crab cakes, calamari fritti, mussels cooked in garlic and olive oil, or beef meatballs in tomato sauce with Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, may be made into a dinner.
Salads and soups for dinner complement main courses such as bucatini allo scoglio, which is constructed of spaghetti, sea scallops, mussels, shrimp, clams, Calabria peppers, fresh tomatoes, basil, and a splash of marinara. Linguine with sautéed shrimp topped with sun-dried tomato, fresh arugula, mascarpone cheese, and white wine is my personal favorite!
My husband’s favorite recipe is whiskey braised port shank with sautéed shallots and mushrooms served on polenta with gorgonzola.
I had Cioppino di mare the last time I was in San Francisco. This seafood stew with shrimp, scallops, white fish, mussels, crab claws, and clams served with garlic toasted crostini reminded me of home. Consider Tony Bennett’s song I Left My Heart in San Francisco.
Don’t miss the sweets, which include my beloved tiramisu and carrot cake, but the bombolini alla Nutella, a small doughnut topped with cinnamon sugar, crème anglaise, and warm hazelnut Nutella, is the bomb. Calabrese is a fine dining Italian restaurant in Southlake.

The Rico Salad is my favorite meal at Mi Cocina; sliced fajita chicken served over romaine, aged cheddar cheese, tomato, and bacon, all chopped and mixed Ricardo Manner with spicy ranch dressing. You may also select between meat and shrimp.
I sometimes serve the Shrimp Brochette appetizer, which consists of four bacon-wrapped wild gulf shrimp with jack cheese, jalapeño, poblano crème, and guacamole. I have the Shrimp Brochette meal, which includes rice, bean soup, and guacamole.
You may order breakfast all day, rancheros eggs; I add the fajita meat or chorizo sausage, accompanied with ranchero sauce, potato wedges, refried beans, ensalada, pico, and sliced avocado. Or, go for the breakfast quesadillas, which come with scrambled eggs, beef or bacon, jack cheese, pico de gallo, salsa verde, and crema.
Tacos, enchiladas, tamales, chalupas, refried beans, and rice are among the Tex-Mex staples. Specials such as pollo moderno, ribeye al carbon, chicken enchiladas verdes, and spinach enchiladas are available. I adore the fajitas with stir fried vegetables and your option of beef, chicken, half and half, shrimp, or ribeye.
The Mambo Taxi paired with sangria is the go-to margarita, or try the Mambo limousine with a Chambord meltdown. There are several tequilas, cervezas, and vinos to choose from.

Wildwood South, which has been locally owned since 2009, serves chef-inspired cuisine and comfort food produced with farm-fresh ingredients. I can always get a good lunch, such as homemade burgers, seafood dishes, steak dinners, and beautiful desserts.
Relax in a warm, relaxed setting with an upmarket bar and courteous bartenders who can produce a broad variety of drinks, including whiskey, bourbon, craft beer, wine, and creative cocktails. Any of them are winners. TX Whisky from Fort Worth is used in both the Cowtown Manhattan and Marys Texas Peach Tea. The smoked old fashion comes with a unique tableside presentation. The Titos Texas Mule or the Salud, prepared with tequila, prosecco, peach, grapefruit, and orange juice, are both delicious.
To begin, I like the smokin’ jalapeño shrimp with asadero cheese, jalapeno, bacon, and avocado cream. The Hickory Smoked Wings, a pound of smoked, seasoned, fried wings with whiskey bbq sauce, are my husband’s favorite.
Ancho steak flatbread, hanger steak, Nashville hot fried chicken, Shiner Bock fish & chips, skillet baked mac & cheese, grilled tenderloin, or whiskey BBQ burger are all popular.
Save some space in your stomach for the Grilled Peach Ice Cream with Caramel Sauce. You will like this Southlake American eatery.
Restaurante Armends Pizza y Spaghetti

Order a big Italian Special pizza with six toppings, and you’re done! Maybe add a fresh and crisp tossed side salad or Caesar salad, possibly the greatest pizza in Southlake! A huge shrimp Caesar salad with a dish of tomato basil soup at this family-owned restaurant is hard to top.
What is my favorite appetizer? I like the stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat and aurora sauce. Mussels Marinara comes in second place. For lunch, how about filled shells or eggplant parmigiana? Any of the lunch options include a salad. Check-plus! Try a meatball parmigiana sub or a Philly steak sandwich.
Chicken cacciatora, veal scallopine in white wine, lemon butter sauce, fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, or spaghetti and meatballs are all popular dinner options. Instead, you may add a side order of meatballs to any order.
Don’t overlook the dessert menu. Please give me one of each! Limoncello Cake, Cannoli, Tiramasu, New York Cheesecake, and Nutella Cheesecake are all must-order desserts at this Southlake Italian restaurant.
The Tex-Mex Anamias

Enchiladas, nachos, flautas, and tamales are among the Tex-Mex options, as are a range of speciality surprises where modern meets sabor.
To begin, I recommend the Guacamole En Molcajete, which is created tableside with avocado, jalapeño, tomato, onion, and cilantro. For a stunning appetizer, combine the Shrimp Ceviche, citrus-marinated shrimp, mango, jicama, avocado, and pico de gallo. My daughter usually tops her tacos with queso fundido, melted jack cheese, chorizo, rajas, salsa verde, and flour tortillas.
The eight distinct quesadillas, nachos, soups and salads, and the fifteen Tex Mex combos are all favorites. The Cha Cha, chicken, spinach enchilada, puffy taco with guacamole, cheese enchilada, and enchilada and taco specials are all worth a try.
My favorite meal is the shrimp brochette, which is bacon-wrapped shrimp packed with jack cheese and poblano, served with bean soup, rice, and guacamole. The La Parrillada, a sizzling dish of grilled shrimp, chicken, and beef over a bed of sautéed veggies with guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, beans, and flour tortillas, is my husband’s favorite. It serves two people. We’ll have leftovers for lunch the following day.
Save some space in your stomach for three leches Napolitano cake or classic flan.
